I have a 08 tl type s. im thinkin of gettin a AEM cold air intake for it. does anyone have that in their car that culd tell me how is it? da sound and how much power itll give me?

 

i have a aem v2 and i love it. it is about the best one for our car.its for a accord thow

 

Good sound, throaty, esp when VTEC engages. You can expect 10 HP or so.

 

*not one 100% positive so don't quote me on it*

BUT most cars with vtec or cvtc(i believe nissans have something like that) will sound good. its the same thing said in different ways. its valvle timing and when it really kicks in it makes your intake sound good. so basically they'll all sound pretty similar if you get injen, AEM, Fujita... etc. each might come with different features and components like different types of clamps and filters and what not. the thing will affect the sound and gains is if its WAI or CAI. all user preference

 

WAI or CAI what is this? CA is cold air. WA warm air..?

Yes. The WAI is when you leave it short and the filter is under the hood. Not down in the fender well like the CAI.

wats funny is I remember making a " whats a CAI" thread when I first joined. I from what i can see these usual threads that get beaten to death arent going anywhere.
