How do you install a new bushing into a Innovative mount?
I had a 60a innovative bushing for my front mount and it went doughnut after 2 weeks lol. I have the 85a bushings standing by for replacement but I ran into a problem when trying to swap them.
How the heck do you get the bushing into the mount? The red 60a are very soft and can be squeezed rather easily with your hand. The 85a dont bend at all. Do they need to be pressed in with a air press or something? Would a bench vise work? I tried a heavy duty clamp but it wouldn't budge.
Any ideas from those who have done it? Calling Innovative later...
Also, are you supposed to secure the bracket to the motor first, then tighten the bolt that goes between the bushings? Or the other way around?

I would for sure use some soapy water on it. Windex is great too. The idea is that it provides lubrication when wet, but not after it dries.
If you have one, use a vise to push the bushing into place after lubricating with soapy water or Windex.

^ The general idea is to leave all bolts slightly loose to allow the engine to settle into a comfortable position.
You will have the motor being supported by a jack while you are installing the mounts. Leave all bolts slightly loose, except the large long bolt that goes thru the bushing which should be tighten before placing the mounts onto the car.
With the bolts slightly loose, slowly lower the jack that has been supporting the engine. The engine will naturally fall into a comfortable position. Now proceed to tighten all bolts to the specified torque.
