Ooh, hondata just set up an appointment with me to go get baseline dyno'ed, then reprogrammed, then re-dyno! I'm stoked- I wonder how much hp i have now, as is. Come on, 250whp !

I dont know if I have 250- just a guess. I have aem intake, UR crank pulley, comptech exhaust w/ resonator cut out, outlaw 'thermoblock' tb & im spacers, sun automotive ground wires and hvs, and even the gay-ass tornado(i had it already, i didnt buy it for the car!). Also, hawk pads, comptech rsb & ss. Oh, and a fresh big ass dent. Im just hoping for around 300@ flywheel.

I wouldn't say 300
if anything the originallly stated 270/256 but 250 to the ground should be pretty close

Ok, well I go there next wed. @ 9 am. I suppose I'll finally have to figure out how to post pictures, so I can show my dynos. What kind of gains can I expect, GoBig?
Did your rev limiter stretch at all? What kind of hp/tq gains? I'm wondering how much I can expect from it-

-Phesto, from there contact us page, hondata's phone # (310) 782-8278. I dont think they have it ready for sale just yet, thats why they wanna 'prototype' with my car. I hope i dont get in any trouble from the mods for putting their phone number in my post.

They are only doing testing right now. They are not selling the re-flash. They are wanting to see if they can get any gains from the TL. So please DO NOT call them asking to get your ECU flashed. The reflash will only be for modified TL's(CAI, Exhaust, Procats, etc...). So once again, please do not call them asking if they will flash your ECU. As this may upset them at this point and discontinue any testing that they are doing at this time.

I dont think they want anyone who does have the reflash to post their dynos yet. They want to wait until they figure everything out first before people start getting excited about the gains.

Thank you subinf, as no one else seems to understand. Yes, Please give time to do there testing and finish it up and they let US know when it is ready before you start to call them. They are wanting to get the numbers in and see if they can produce some gains with it first.

Don't worry, im not a 'blow-it'. I'll ask them first of course before I brag about any gains.

I honestly would rather wait until it is an official "GO" before I see any actual numbers. If there is a gain, just tell us that and nothing else. Otherwise, it is just false hopes and then dissappointment when/if they decide not to go ahead with the reflash.

just my

Yeah, I dont know what kind of numbers I'll get. I'm expecting at least @ 10hp/tq and a stretched rev limiter, also earlier vtec engagement, but I could be just wishing. Any input, GoBig?

I know, but I'm not supposed to say anything. There is gains to be had from a reflash, my car revs to the moon, redlines @ 7500 . I got to drive the 'roja' sc tl thats in all those pictures. It was tuned by hondata, and I was told that it was pushing upwards of 100 hp over stock. I dont wanna blow it, so thats it. There was all kinds of f/i rice rockets in their shop. Took pics, don't know if anyone cares about all the rice rockets, but I cant give my dyno #s yet, at Doug's(hondata's co-owner) request. Stay tuned. Im supposed to go back in a week or so for more time on the dyno, and more fine tuning.

How did the roja s/c tl drive? Can you compare it to a non hondata tuned s/c tl?
Good luck on your dyno #'s. I'd like to see what they can actually do to our ECU.

The s/c tl was ridiculous. At first it didn't feel a hair faster. Then I remembered the vsa. Now the car would spin its tires like crazy, stupid even. Then I put into second gear, about 25 mph and floored it. Same thing, stupid wheel spinning w/out barely moving. Third gear finally hooked up and shot the car like a slingshot. Very fast... That tl was more than I expected. I thought it would feel more like a tl. The characteristics of street driving are diff. Feels like a big ass v8 is in it or something. Oh, and while i was wooding it around, it was averaging 26mpg and wouldnt go below it. My car always gets down to between 19-21mpg. Crazy

7500 rpms is what I am talking about. Ryan97812 said the f/i TLs need 500 more hp and it will move. I believe it coming from him. Im ready to send my sh*t to hondata now! I am just waiting for the OK from them!

It was kinda scary watching the tach needle go that DEEP into the red. A bit disconcerting. But im used to it already.

I'm a little confused here. So you're saying the TL you drove with the REFLASHED ECU was from a S/C TL or a TL without the S/C? Please clue me in on this and is eager to know.
