Help with drone?

I just finished getting a stage 4 exhaust mod with magnaflow mufflers installed. I love the sound finally, but I feel bad for ym girlfriend who suffers or friends who suffer from the drone. Is there a way I can reduce the in cabin drone without installing any more things to the exhaust? I head installing dynomats in the trunk like under the spare tire, roof, and sides of the trunk will actually reduce the drone?

Dynamat in the trunk will help. Doing the entire floor would help more. Dynomat is expensive but there are cheaper alternatives. Only downside is that it is heavy if you care about that sort of thing.

Louder on outside, louder on inside, so I guess you had better supply ear plugs for the guests. From what I read, Dynamat may help some, but it's job is to tie everything together but will not decrease low frequency noise, is costly and will add weight, similar to layered padding which is less expensive and will help to some degree.

Many years ago I replaced the exhaust on one of my cars with a complete turbo back Racing Beat system and it was on the car for exactly 4 days. The drone when on the highway was definitely something I couldn't stand, so it was removed and sold. Some like it, the louder the better but not me. Still have the car and have not modified the exhaust to where it's undesireable for me or the passenger.

From what I've read theres a product called Peel & Seal that you can get at Home Depot or Lowe's. Never used it personally but I've heard it has almost the same characteristics as Dynamat.

Simplest soluion is to just put a resonator back on, you can get a really small one that should do the job and not change the tone much.

i took my midmuffler off once, and the same day i put it back on. Just too much noise.

I'll stop by Lowe's today and pick some up and try it and let you know what happens. Hopefully it'll work I don't want to put the mid muffler back on or a new resonator because I like the tone it produces

Good luck. Let me know how it goes. I'm curious about this stuff myself.

Add a resonator or some sort of stuffing to the exhaust. The drone is caused by sound waves and the only way to get rid of it or reduce it is to cancel them out. Using a product like Dynamat is only going to "muffle" the drone slightly and add a TON of weight.

The point of dynamat is to reduce rattles and such by adding mass to the metal panels and reduce the amount it flexes.
