HAS ANYONE SEEN THIS!!! possible new supercharger-

I was roaming tsx.acurazine, and look what I found-
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34434

I don't know if that link worked, but 'Red Shift' motorsports is using a rotrex powered supercharger to make 380 bhp on a tsx. They plan to develop a system for the tl soon! Lets not scare them away from us w/ our high expectations and demands, but hopefully, a new option for FI will arrise from this. Check out their website, www.redshiftmotorsports.com. I havent contacted anyone from their shop yet, but we should get them here on our boards

I think it they really do come through, it will still take them a while to develop one for the TL.

Here we go in another forum. This guy is posting on all these different forums and everyone is getting ready to drop Comptech b/c this guy "says" he is going to produce a supercharger kit. Comptech has been here from the beginning and has been the only company offering products like a supercharger kit for the CL/TL/TSX. I'm just surprised ppl will dump a company so quickly on the slim chance this guy is actually going to produce something.

Unfortunately, I agree... Comptech > Redshift .. only b/c they've been doing it for many more years that Redshift on Acura/Honda products. Plus, that TL charger is now time tested ... (so to speak) ..

Where was CT years ago when they started? Where was Hyundai when they first came to America? Everybody has to start somewhere. Being the new kid on the block doesn't mean you don't know what you're doing, it just means you need to learn where everything is...once you get your bearings, you can go anywhere and do anything. Competition is good, and I, for one, am glad there is another company interested in making products for Honda/Acura.

I agree, and especially someone using different blower technology and a seemingly strong colaboration effort with hondata

The comptech supercharger is more then capable of making 350whp on the TL. What's more important is the tuning which we don't have much options of.

Hey all!! First time posting here. I assure you, we have gotten many calls and e-mails about the TL supercharger and it WILL happen. I do not have a time frame as of yet, due to a couple of othere vechiles in the development line first. Thanks Greg

ctsc only provide max boost at near redline. Redshiftmotors is making a sc that can provide max or a lot more boost at lower rpms that means redshift sc VS ctsc ct will lose because redshift has more power under the curve

I do agree with you that the rotrex supercharger is more superior then the Eaton roots type supercharger because it is able to boost higher while creating less heat. It is able to boost efficiently up to 20psi without excess heat, but for sure the stock TL motor would not be able to take it.

Depending on your power goals, the comptech supercharger provide more then enough power then what your stock engine can take.

I would still like to see the results of the Rotrex supercharger. One thing I like about it is the fact that we could use a BOV so we get the PSSSSSS sound. However the rotrex supercharger does not make the loud WHINE like the comptech supercharger does.

He's a crazy one that Chris 20psi no, but can it be more efficent than a roots blower. Probably no PSSSSSSSSSSST just cause it will most likley be a recirc. BOv. Sorry

With the Rotrex supercharger, you won't have the whine.

Here is a video of a integra TypeR with the Rotrex supercharger. You can have an idea of how it will sound like. http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...62230476296874
