HAS ANYONE SEEN THIS!!! possible new supercharger-
I was roaming tsx.acurazine, and look what I found-
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34434 I don't know if that link worked, but 'Red Shift' motorsports is using a rotrex powered supercharger to make 380 bhp on a tsx. They plan to develop a system for the tl soon! Lets not scare them away from us w/ our high expectations and demands, but hopefully, a new option for FI will arrise from this. Check out their website, www.redshiftmotorsports.com. I havent contacted anyone from their shop yet, but we should get them here on our boards :what: |
nice find... I guess comptech has some serious competition on there hands now...
I think it they really do come through, it will still take them a while to develop one for the TL.
Nice find.
beautiful FIND!! that is nice:biggrin:...doesn't look as bulky either but who know what the final production might look like...either way, something nice to look forward too...might have to pick up a summer job for that.lol
NICE. Optional 2 speed supercharger drive :)
If I got the Comptech /C is tehre anyway to intercool or aftercool it?
Water/Methanol injection
Look at bottom of page. they're looking for development vehicles! Someone near Dallas, PA PLEASE go for us!
i would do it, but i'm about 2 1/2 hours away, AND this is my only car... |
Hell.............I'll move to Dallas!
hopefully comptech's prices will drop a little in fear of the competition :D
Ill go, maybe ill get a free one! Only 2 hours away.
Go get one! They might need your car for a while though, working with hondata for engine management

Here we go in another forum. This guy is posting on all these different forums and everyone is getting ready to drop Comptech b/c this guy "says" he is going to produce a supercharger kit. Comptech has been here from the beginning and has been the only company offering products like a supercharger kit for the CL/TL/TSX. I'm just surprised ppl will dump a company so quickly on the slim chance this guy is actually going to produce something.

lol sorry. :(
I e-mailed them about using my TL..
also Pm'ed the guy got nothing so far, just have to wait and see |
Comptech > Red Shift. Just my :2cents:
Unfortunately, I agree... Comptech > Redshift .. only b/c they've been doing it for many more years that Redshift on Acura/Honda products. Plus, that TL charger is now time tested ... (so to speak) ..

Where was CT years ago when they started? Where was Hyundai when they first came to America? Everybody has to start somewhere. Being the new kid on the block doesn't mean you don't know what you're doing, it just means you need to learn where everything is...once you get your bearings, you can go anywhere and do anything. Competition is good, and I, for one, am glad there is another company interested in making products for Honda/Acura.

I'm willing to give them a shot. Hell, I'd love to have a 350+HP TL.
The comptech supercharger is more then capable of making 350whp on the TL. What's more important is the tuning which we don't have much options of.
Well said chill_dog.

Hey all!! First time posting here. I assure you, we have gotten many calls and e-mails about the TL supercharger and it WILL happen. I do not have a time frame as of yet, due to a couple of othere vechiles in the development line first. Thanks Greg
ctsc only provide max boost at near redline. Redshiftmotors is making a sc that can provide max or a lot more boost at lower rpms that means redshift sc VS ctsc ct will lose because redshift has more power under the curve

Depending on your power goals, the comptech supercharger provide more then enough power then what your stock engine can take. I would still like to see the results of the Rotrex supercharger. One thing I like about it is the fact that we could use a BOV so we get the PSSSSSS sound. However the rotrex supercharger does not make the loud WHINE like the comptech supercharger does. |

With the Rotrex supercharger, you won't have the whine.
Here is a video of a integra TypeR with the Rotrex supercharger. You can have an idea of how it will sound like. http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...62230476296874 |
I guess were gonna have a pretty good sleeper haha.
Edit: nvm |
Well with a BOV it will sound like a turbo! haha
that guy driving is messing up his clutch big time... no heel nd toe. just put it in gear and let go of clutch
Someone correct me if im wrong but on supecharged cars isnt it called a pressure relief valve. bov is for turbos...
