Full Bolt on 3G TL Auto
#4
.030 over, Holley 350 double pumper, Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, Lunati cam, Hooker Headers. Should be good for about five hundred fiddy horse.

Full bolt on to me is typically everything external to the engine that can be, well, bolted on. Intake, Exhaust, Headers, Throttle body/spacers, etc. It'll cost more than the TL is worth for laughable power figures. In short, not the right car to mod.

From everything I've learned here (I'm fully bolted and tuned, never dyno'd) I would say my car makes an extra 50 ponies to the crank over stock. Not a very significant bump compared to some other cars (particularly LS).

You can go down the comical route of "FBO" for a J series engine that's already pretty damn efficient already NA, without any need for "breather mods", spend a comical amount in parts and labor, like this guy did with his Base Auto https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-p.../#post15710608 and still can't pull in the 13s for the 1/4 mile. SAD!
Just go with an F/I application. Bolt ons don't do shit for J32/35/37. They might for non-Hondas.

Full bolt on would be anything that you can “bolt on” without having to go into the engine. So anything dangling off the exhaust and intake port are fair game for bolt-ons. I would say with tuning you could get about 30HP to 50HP. The AT transmission is a major road block. Best bang is tuning tuning tuning. I wouldn’t get wrapped up in speed with the TL, if you’re stuck in traffic or cruising on the highway the inside of a TL is a fantastic place to be.

Bolt on's I had on my 3G 6MT
RV6 Jpipe
RV6 HFPC's
Lightweight Crank Pulley
3.5L Intake Manifold (Type-S) and Maxbored throttle body.
P&P intake runners
16lb Enkei RPF1 wheels
Tanabe Medalion Catback
CAI (just a cheapo off ebay)
Lightweight Braille battery (11 lbs.)
Dropped over 400lbs of weight via the "TL diet" that Inaccurate wrote up. I didn't go as extreme.
BC Racing Coilovers
Because, racecar. It had about the same power/weight ratio as BMW M's and the CTS-V. In hindsight, it wasn't really the right platform for all that work and money. But it sure was fun
