Exhuast System's and parts help
Exhuast System's and parts help
If some one had the time to help me with an exhaust system, and it's part. So far i know a full catback system like A greddy. But if i weren't getting the full catback(exhuast) system, i could get the shop to build it. So far i know what a J-Pipe is. Does our car have headers and exhuast pipes running down from the side of the engine? Idk what precat deletes are, i know what a muffler is, and the tips are connected it to it. Idk was a X-pipe, Y-pipe, is. I would really like to know the parts of an whole exhaust system on A TL?
I labeled a diagram that should help a bit.

The only thing not pictured are the pre-cat's which there are two. They go on top of the J-Pipe pipes. Those then go directly to the head of the engine.
Our car doesn't theoretically have headers. We just have the pre-cats and the J-pipe which makes up what you would normally call headers. In fact, a lot of cars are coming with this design now.
We don't have an x-pipe, but you can see a y-pipe where the J-pipe merges into one, and also again where the mid-pipe merges back into two pipes that attach to the muffler backs. A y-pipe is simply a y-merge that forms one pipe into two, or visa versa.
