eBay intake?

i see these aftermarket intakes on ebay for like $40. are they worth a damn? i know i want a CAI but the ones from the vendors are over $200. isnt it just a tube and a filter?

People say filter is the most important part of the intake systems, what you can do is grab the CAI ebay intake piping, for...100? i think, and later on get a K&N filter or buy the AEM Dry FLow for like 30-40 bucks....

only diff is you don't get the C.A.R.B exempt sticker, but hell that doesn't even help with anything, well here in cali....I had a CARB sticker on my AEM CAI on my rsx, and i still got a fix it ticket.

Actually there is a difference. I've sold the cheap intakes before and in fact I have a cheap intake here for the 04+ TL that I'm selling if you want it. It even comes with a K&N filter. They are $90 shipped. But I wouldn't recommend them. The aluminum is very thin and it bends easily; overtightening the clamps will cause it to bend. The tabs generally break too and the ebay intakes, as mentioned, generally use cheap filters that don't flow very well. AEM, INJEN, FUJITA, K&N also do R&D. They check different sizes and bends and air flow to get the most hp.

not doubting you or anything, but i have very extensive mechanic skill and have never had any issues with an ebay intake, granted they send you the right one. The ebay one i purchased was perfect. Even came with the little rubber spacer. Buy the ebay intake and buy the progress sway bar off of ebay for 140 shipped and youll still be around 200. So 2 items for the same or cheaper then a 225 aem intake, that has pretty color.

if you can afford a TL, i don't see why you would want to put a $40 intake on it... it isn't a civic we are talking about here... but, to each his own...

Use this link and offer him $130 shipped. That's what I did and he took it. I was told this by another Aziner and it worked. Get the real deal "Fujita" for a real deal!!!

Look I won't like to you guys but for $200 you can buy a fujita 3.5" diameter filter for $35 shipped... Then go to ur local exhaust shop and have them fabricate one for you... Would be higher quality

Why not just get a 4" K&N one and then have it fabricated?
