Ebay bolt on Turbo?
i'm kind of new to the forums, ive been a member but really just to browse things for my car anyways this is 1 of my first posts, i found while browsing ebay that parts for tls are becoming very available which is wonderful, that being said there is a turbonetics bolt on turbo, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-T3...181296&vxp=mtr but i dont know how good it will be or if it will mess up my car, so if there is anyone out there who has one or has any input on this i would appreciate it.

I'm not an expert on FI nor do I plan on being anytime soon. However, based on the description of this turbo as well as plain logic, you're looking at some very serious fabrication and customization of the included components in order to even get the turbo bolted on. It states in the auction: "THIS PIPING KIT IS UNIVERSAL,IT IS NOT BOLT ON TYPE.CUSTOMERS NEED TO CUT AND BENT THE INTERCOOLER PIPE TO FIT YOUR CAR." (The broken english and bad grammar are also a little disturbing).
In addition it mentions: " * This turbo kit is universal. It is for customer custom make project, and perfect upgrade your car and get more boost.Your car will gain 100-150HP if you set at 7-15PSI.Customers require upgrade the fuel pump, injector and ECU to tune the car if you set at higher PSI.This kit can max up to 350HP.."
I can tell you now that most FI guys on here are going to recommend right off the bat that a tune is probably essential to getting a turbo to run correctly, even at pressures below 7 PSI. Let alone the other upgrades mentioned. You'll want to budget for that.
Slapping a turbo or SC on the TL is not a job to be trifled with. It's going to be expensive and come with its own set of issues that will have to be addressed by someone who is well versed in FI and tuning a picky ECU like the one the TL has. It can certainly be done but be prepared to spend about half the value of the car in getting it to work right. I'd estimate somewhere along $3000-$5000 for a supercharger and $7000+ for a turbocharger.

that is bullshit. DO NOT BUY IT. and do research, your best bet is to S/C if your really going for FI.. dont play around with FI and not tune it properly bc youll pop your engine the first time you floor it.. bad idea.

Burning Brakes
I've seen people buy various turbo's to their civic's. Little that they know, the turbo's go out first or the manifold cracks, etc. Anything cracks and goes into the turbine, your engine is fucked. Same goes for any particals. China made stuff, just boycott it, nothing comes good from there.
