Dumb PCD install question
If I don't have the time to take my daily driver out of service long enough to finish installing both PCD's, how bad would it be to install the back one on one Saturday and then install the other the following weekend? Would the difference in back pressure cause any problems? If everything goes smoothly I should be able to finish both on a Saturday with room to spare, but if I hit any major snags with rusted bolts or something I may not be able to finish both in a day. Thanks for your opinions!

You should be fine however I would do the rear one first if your gonna wait. It will probably have a wierd exhaust sound but it shouldnt mess up anything. But the rear is the bitch which would take up most of your time hence why I would do that one first then the front is easyyy.

My advice is to get underneath the car first and make sure you can get all those bolts loose, because the ones at the rear of the j pipe are the most likely to cause problems due to rust. I had to have an exhaust shop get those bolts off. The primary cat to j pipe bolts should be semi easy if you spray them, and the head bolts are easy.

The j-pipe bolts shouldn't be a problem, I just installed the RV6 V3 pipe back in February. I figure I'll try to do as much prep work as I can on the Friday after next (I'm flying to a friends wedding this weekend) and then reserve the whole day Saturday to work on it. I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing the gains this will produce. I'm also curious to see if it'll help fuel economy as well. I was pretty happy last weekend getting 30mpg on the MID with four people, luggage, and a/c on doing 85mph most of the trip. If I can improve on that I'll be thrilled!

Im also really busy n with little or no time to work on my car...so I did one at the time... it was just fine n I ran it that way for about 10days.... believe or not I felt a Damn good power increase with just the one (front one) on... after I installed the rear one I didn't feel that much of a difference in power increase. But I can really feel there is very little back pressure left... I have the PCDs (v2), a jpipe that came with the catback when I bought it (greddy evo2) and a high flow 3rd cat... also, I def got an increase on mpg!!! Went from about 300miles to the tank to 335 miles... pretty happy about that
