This is the response from ACT :

Unfortunately we do not make a kit for your application. I have checked
with R&D and we have no current plans to make a kit for your car, which
is not to say that we won't make it, just not yet.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me.

Regards,

I am going to keep on them to see if they can hurry the process up!

I also just spoke to the sales man on the phone. They gauge what they design by the amount of requests. I was the first. He said if they get enought it will become a reality alot sooner. He said that he will present it in the montly meeting at the end of the month. Please send as many requests as possible!!!

wasnt there some discussion a while ago about the comptech Cl 6spd clutch working? i know thats different than having one specifically made for the 04+ but were there any drawbacks to using that?

Comptech was the only one who made onr for the cl-6 and it was just a clutch upgrade not a pressure plate. Any clutch disk will be fine it's the pressure plate that counts.

I’m interested in a performance clutch (stage 2) that retains factory engagement feel but can handle additional torque from the supercharger, downpipe, and cat-back mods I’ve made. Didn’t see one on your site, do you plan of offering one?

I still have the ct flywheel and clutch sittin in its original packaging. Finally got through with someone at ct and they said that some little burrs need to be cut off so it fits. Their there to balance it, so I still haven't done anything with it. I called act yesterday and they said they do not have anything underway, nor do they plan to in the immediate future. They said if they do release it the price could be anywhere from 350-650. Im down still to buy a new clutch and pressure plate if its made specifically for our tl's. Just keepin' this thread alive!

I also contacted clutchmasters in rialto, right next to me. They said that hopefully by mid-april they'll have a clutch kit for our car- OOH!!! Prices will be relative to all of their kits. Can't wait. How much do you guys think a better clutch can improve performance?

^ I have talked to the engineer from this company about 3 years ago, he used to work for clutch masters. Here is the link to the website, hit them up and show your intrest. From what I gather, the CL-s, Accord and the TL all share the same Presure plate assembly. This is great news if we can get some one to make a pressure plate for us. Here is a link to the site
competitionclutch

Hit them up and let thme know we want a CLUTCH!!

No do not email Competition Clutch. The guy said he is getting bombarded with emails and to stop emailing him. He said give him 90 days and it will be out.

Well then, I guess all the emails made the point. As there where CL, TL and Accord people emailing them. They saw the $$'s, and thought, this might be something we need to look into.

So when does your clutch slip? I mean mine "slides" into 3rd gear. But thats it. Maybe it's still new enough? Or I am not getting the HP you are???
Still I am interested. Are you going to change the flywheel also?

clutchmasters has a flywheel thats almost complete for 04+ acura tl. Thats what they told me today anyway. I called and said I need my clutch replaced asap. As far as a whole 'clutch kit' they plan to develop one in the near future. They asked me to take all the components out of my car and bring to them, and then they'd be able to fab one for me.

That's what I'm looking for, a stage 2 kit. Going to have the clutch done before the SC.

Maybe this has been discussed before, but what happened to the clutch/flywheel Comptech developed for the TL racecar from Thunderhill?

I bought the ct 'clutch kit' but it was a waste. There is little balancing weights or something, on the flywheel, that need to be cut for clearance- evenly so they still weigh equal amounts. Too much shit for me. Weak kit anyway, just the lightweight flywheel and the clutch plate. No elusive 'remover tool' or 'alignment tools' or anything like that. If it was for cl it would be fine Im sure. I'll probably end up selling it on e-bay.
