I added a aem cai yesterday and took the car for a spin, and the check engine light came on. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if so how did you get rid of it? I went about ten blocks before it came on. I relocated the sensor which is the only thing i could possibly think set it off. 2007 5at type s bythe way.

 

unplug battery
sucky part you may have to have your codes handy since the nav may ask for em but it will come off

 

Installed mine on Sat. and no problems here. I also moved my sensor.

 

i noticed on the 07 type s that the sensor is further back on the intake manifold then the 04-06's i'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I tried unplugging the battery last night, I only left it unplugged for a couple of mins. I'm wondering if i need to leave it unplugged longer? I don't know what else would have caused it since that's the only sensor.

 

When I did any mods to my car I made sure the battery was unplugged for at least 30 min. Not sure if this is the right way but that ensured that everything reset.

 

yeah I mean on my civic is supposed to be like 10mins... but I dont know bout the tl

 

i feel like a dumb ass. I found the prob i forgot i unplugged some kind of sensor so i could get at the breather hose a little easier on the back of the manifold. All is good now. thanks for the help.
