Custom Gauge Mount*

So i was very bored over the weekend and had the idea to make a custom gauge mount. I toyed with where to mount and how many and ended up picking the steering column as the best location. (thought A pillar at first but didn't like the idea of possibly have a gauge flying at your face if the airbag went off haha). So far i made a mold of the steering column top and made a mold of a gauge pod that i had lying around. I will have pics up tomorrow of everything.

If anyone wants a mold of anything PM me and let me kno!

Ok so i got bored and took some pics haha.

Here is my interior before:

The top of the steering column cover:

The goodies:

Outcome of the steering column cover mold:

The different gauge pods i was using: (the ones on the left were cut out of a A pillar panel, the others are srt4 pod replacements, i used one of the black ones and trimmed the backing out.)

More pics to follow...

I think it was one of the early S/C'ed guys back in 2006, but what they did was mount the gauges ontop of the center speaker so it was visible and didn't affect the air-bags.
