honestly I dont even think the ecm will work on the 07-08 base

the ecu plus are the same 07-08... last time I checked...

 

The ECM plugs into 3 wires into the ecu, (knock sensor is left alone). One of those wires has to be power, I don't know what the other two are though, and comptech took down the install directions...

It can't work for the Type-S... That's gotta be a typo...

The ECU for the 07-08 is no different than the 2006, thus you wire it up according to the 2006 wiring diagram. CT SC will go right on an 07-08 base TL.

No that is an error in the database. I already emailed them to ask them to remove that. It does not work with the Type S.

The ECU "wiring pinouts" are likely the same... but the programming has to be different to reflect the differences in the 3.2 and 3.5 engine. Wiring is only the path... it's the ECU innards that count.
