yes, you can do it without the removal, i did. it just requires that you drill out two rivets. not a big deal because you can just install some bolts in their place if you ever want to go back to stock.

i see no reason why SD shouldnt have some CAI users just dont drive in any 2ft deep puddles. i live in Michigan and get pretty cold winters, not like you, but i have had no problems.

if you are going to get a CAI, i would also look in to getting a P2R throttle body spacer. it makes for a great combo. and once you get the CAI on, you probably wont want to remove it in order to get the spacer on.

AEM, Injen and Fujita seem to be the most popular around here. I think AEM has the popularity edge.

Seach the Performance sub-forum for a post started by stillhere153 comparing a couple of the CAI's.

ehh, this one:

Pesonally, I don't think there is enough perfomance difference to matter. IMHO, it comes down to cost/value, fitment and color (if you have a preference).

Yeah you can. We just removed the battery and popped it in... Removed the stock filter and your done... Of course there are other things you need to do as well, but to answer your question, yes you can do it without removing the bumper...

I have a AEM CAI and its MONEY! It's all up to you whatever you heart desires, but with the AEM it has the carb tested stickers on it and everything... I don't know about the others but that's the main reason why I got mine... Not that a cop is gonna check to see, but its good to have...
PEACE!

True, AEM and Injen are the same quality, but AEM uses larger piping in this instance. Thus, the intake is able to make more power for this specific vehicle.

CARB doesn't matter anywhere except Cali.
