Comptech supercharger for 06 MT

I am looking to put a supercharger on my 06 MT and wonder if anyone has bought anything from Excelerate. Also I drive the car quite a bit and wonder if this surging problem is still going on. I am new to the forum so forgive me if this question sounds stupid.

Excelerate is the man! Surging will be around until the Hondata reflash is available. I drove my car for almost a year and a half with no problems. Then I put the HBP on. Big mistake. You should use the search function. It may take a while, but all your questions will be answered. Welcome to the forum.

Did the charger kill your gas mileage?

Not really. 19-20 city driving. Highway probably upper 20s. I've seen go up to the lower 30s though.

Others have had the HBP on with no catastrophes. Take that for what it's worth. The injectors are about maxed out with the regular pulley. It's not worth the risk.

I have the high boost pulley, it's meant for ppl that lives in high altitudes, that's what comptech told me, but I installed mine 5 days ago and i realized that the gas is doing much better, and i'm actually getting the whole 5lb boost, haha, it's gay I wished it could be boosting more, but high boost pulley doing very good in high altitudes no adjusting or anything

im getting ready to throw mine on. ive had it for sometime, but have been sketchy about it, hearing too many pros and cons. but so far ive heard some pros. i am driving the car less now since i have my acura legend beater, so maybe she will be ok. i will post and let people know how the car behaves.....cant wait for that reflash tho to kill the goddamn surging.

This is the opposite of what others have stated. Others are stating that S/C fuel economy is BETTER than non S/C... Eric's for exampe

What is used for management with the Comptech SC?

I'd imagine gas mileage should be basically the same partial throttle. Obviously if you're in boost all the time well, should be common sense.

I think these guys were beating on the car to get the performance out of it. Now with the blower any boost on the street, one attracts cops with the whine, and two builds too much speed. Once on the highway too much throttle/boost will equal 135+ speeds. People are getting better gas mileage because the blower makes it dangerous to be that lead footed.

i am also thinking that ambiet temperature is making a difference....

in the winter.. where its like 20F(-7C) degress outside GAS MILEAGE IS BADDDDDDD..

but summer its a bit better.... still not tooo good =)
