I got mine for $700.00 it was well worth it gotta watch ebay!!! I was saying the same thing to myself about the $1000.00 bucks. But you get what you pay for. I will say the pictures don't do the exhaust justice when you see it in person how well done the exhaust is you would understand why. And the gain after 6k to redline is well worth it. Now that i have it i could never go back

If the manual nets about 8hp, cut that in half for the auto, no?

Yeah i know he has the complete catback system. I'm just saying the tips on the comptech exhaust look nice since its bigger than the ones on the TSX and others. Fills in the holes real nice.

I would say not! if a Supercharger gives a manual 80hp does it give an auto 40hp?? that would imply the loss in an auto is twice as much as the loss of a manual. I think most mods can be closely compared to work somewhat in percentages as far as gain is concerned, not straight numbers.

Nitrotiger-

Have you put a CAI on your car yet?? I noticed alot more power when adding my Injen CAI after having the exhaust on. From what I understand our cars can benefit 22-25hp additional with both mods on.

Does anyone know ( I would assume via dyno) what the total gain is between the exhaust and the CAI?

Also have Comptech Exhaust Installed

I have had the Comptech exhaust on my 2005 Automatic TL and it is a great system. Very happy with the sound and performance gains. Have heard of several people talking about welding the stock tips on the Comptech systems to retain the stock "slanted" exhaust (have to admit...that is a good look) - but think about it.....shit...you may as well stay with stock then as you would only be restricting your exhaust flow at the exit as these are 4.5" openings - much larger capacity than stock. It would tend to defeat the purpose.

I would go with the AEM CAI. I havent ordered it yet for my TL, but the dyno numbers speak for themselves. I did have ths Injen CAI on my wife's 2000 Teg a few years back, and now have and AEM on my 2000 Teg and I noticed a huge difference. The AEM had better throttle response, and you can feel it pulling at a much higher rpm. I just wish Magnaflow would build a system for the TL.
