just like my friend in a civic. BARK BUTT NO BITE!
That's what I'm trying to say, why spend $300 just for sound when you can achieve the same sound by removing the intake resonator for free....smh.

Aesthetic.
Same reason why we need BBKs and slotted rotors.

Serious question, what does "smh" mean?

Funny part is this though..

My car had RV6 V3 HFPCs, ATLP V2 J-pipe, ATLP test pipe w/ heat shield, '12 SHAWD Intake manifold and ZDX throttle body on it at the time and he fails it over a sticker on a cold air intake.

It still passed the sniffer.

It passed elsewhere as it was and has decals now, but now I'll be selling it soon and it has OEM exhaust on it again lol..

I'm seriously glad my family left California. Failing over a sticker? That guy was either stupid or was just prejudice over modified imports.

I've been through AEM CAI, Injen CAI, AEM V2....if still available, get the AEM V2. Compared to the AEM CAi and Injen CAI...the AEM V2 makes a very deep throaty sound around 3000-5000 rpm then roars after. The AEM CAI and Injen CAI are good too but if you're after sound, V2 is the one.

Power gains all about the same, can't really notice

Agreed. The sound if the V2 intake is simply intoxicating.

And I gotta disagree with you, justnspace. Why wouldn't you want your engine to roar a nice tone? I actually prefer having just a V2 intake over an exhaust on a Honda. The engine sounds incredible when it hits VTEC. The crossover is just crazy.

My friend has an absolutely mint s2000 with nothing more than an intake on it. The car sounds perfect. Quiet when you want it to be (under normal driving you don't hear anything), and loud as hell when you want it to be (under WOT).

A lot of crappy cars around here just have a fart can exhaust on them. It's like "oh wow. Another base model, automatic ford focus with an exhaust. Badass!". A CAI generally adds more HP than an exhaust does, or the same amount, for much less money. Granted that an intake isn't all that special of a mod either, however, at least it's not buzzing the whole time driving.

I may try it just for the sound. I can't even hear my vtec crossover any more.

Do it. The V2, if for nothing else, is like a symphony for your ears!
