CM fx400 Opinons
CM fx400 Opinons
Im switching over to a 6speed very soon and need a clutch setup that can handle my power.
Not sure what i should get but my budget is definitly in a single disc setup.
My engine is a 3.7 with all boltons spraying 125 now possibly more later.and i have my car down to 2600lbs with a automactic trans in there.
All said and done i will be under 2500lbs.
whats a good singlle disc setup to run?
Either for dual mass or light weight flywheel.
opinons let them fly.

You definitely want a lighter flywheel since your car is so light. A lower gear ratio while you are at it would be perfect (3.842 or 3.55). The AASCO aluminum flywheel is a great choice.
Email Clutchmasters to find out how much torque each clutch can handle. Not sure why they don't list it on their website

I just got off the phone with a guy that says the fx400 should be my best bet.
fx400 6 puck 500 tq
fx 400 4 puck 565 tq
the smaller twin 850 tq
So if i stay at my power level I should be fine with the 6 puck and if i plan to add a bigger shot I should do the 4 puck.
No need for the twin for me.
I only drive to get gas, milk at the store down the street and little short rides to burn some tire and the most a drive 5-6 miles trips to the track, not a daily car,nor heavy mile car.
Would a 4 puck be too much (causing damage) or should I just do a 6 puck ?

Send me an email. We are finishing up (in a few weeks) our clutch kit. It will be mated to an AASCO flywheel and will be capable of holding more power than the CM setup and it will be more durable, based on our use of this company on a number of other platforms.
