Im curious to hear what a Cold Air Intake sounds like on my 2007 Tl type S, but do not want to buy one and install it, not like it, and then end up wasting my time and money. Does anyone have a "youtube" video or on another site that is like a drive by clip of any intake on the new TL type S? If so that would be realllll helpful!! THANKS

 

I got a 07 TLS too, and installed a AEM CAI in it, sounds way more aggressive and brings out the engines sound..espcially wen you floor it..its definitly worth it dude, go for it...u wont regret it

 

oh.......man you will love it! it has 3 types of sound. 1st, high pitch pissing sound everytime you apply the gas; you can't miss it 'cause you'll hear it constantly. 2nd, you'll hear psss noise when downshift or upshift.....sounds like a turbo; when you upshift it sucks in more air. 3rd, at high RPM, CAI growls......it's low deep sound from the engine. Ever since I've got it, I'm enjoying it alot. Low end responds lot quicker than before.

I can't really hear the intake. The exhaust is over-powering the intake sound.

Thanks man! Ya, two cars ago I had a 02 Nissan Maxima 255hp with cold air injen and it sounded amazing. Which is better for the TL injen or AEM do they sound the same? or similiar.

 

I recently just received my AEM from Excelerate. He had a big group buy going for each intake. There's a bunch of threads about which is better and people have stated the AEM has a more powerful sound. Gains are about the same, correct me if I'm wrong but that's what I believe from what I've read. I have yet to install mine, probably get it done this week. As you'll read in that thread and as I stated before, AEM is defintely louder.

Ya, but the Injen sounds a little more classier than the AEM. The TL is quick, but I dont want loud noise when this car doesnt even move that fast. I guess the Injen is more practical for what I want. Loud when you punch it, quiet when your cruising. This car isn't meant to be that fast.. Honestly I miss my old Subaru Legacy GT Turbo..Mmm did that car make a proper sound. I miss My turbo...
