CAI install help!

Okay, bare with me here.

I got bored and decided to buy one of those AutoZone special $40 intake tubes

Came with a few brackets, 1 hose, and the piping. I bought the filter separate. After watching videos about switching all the hoses around, is what I did okay? I took it out for a test drive and seemed fine?

I know pictures are probably hard to tell but I left those stock hardlines, connected the plastic black hose to the end of that, then into the intake. The black hose does basically a loop from connection to connection. Other than that, I did not change any hoses what so ever.

is this fine? or should I just install the stock airbox back in? I could really use the help, kinda worried about my car. thanks!

Go back to stock and bite the $40. You're now pulling in warm air.
