I recently had the A1 service notification come up on my maintenance minder. As I got closer to my actual appointment is changed to A16. The 6 being differential fluid. This was around 9200 miles. What is the standard interval for this? I felt like this was early and I don't recall what the manual says.

 

I noticed the same thing where after about 50% Oil Life (roughly 5000 miles), I would see it frequently change from A1 to A16 and back to A1. I ended up changing it at my first oil change but probably won't change it for awhile.

Looking at the manual, there's not a recommended normal interval but the severe interval is 7500 miles then every 15000 miles.

 

The Acura tech told me the first Diff fluid change is at around 10K, then 30K, then every 30K after that.

 

I had mine done at 12K, then the tech at the dealer told me avery 15K.

 

I remember my 09 TL triggered around 10K as well.

 

How much does the dealer typically charge for this service?

 

Wayne ,NJ is 120$.
But it's really easy to do, I just didn't know the right fluid.
Next time I'l do it myself.
