Take a peek at the Performance Section, there's a lot of info there, but since you're new...most popular...err...the only available really...ATLP, RV6 and XLR8 make the catbacks for the TL.

They can be found at Heeltoeautomo.com, Rv6performance.com and xlr8performance.com

What do you want in an exhaust?

If you want something throaty and aggressive I'd recommend our XLR8 exhaust.

http://store.excelerateperformance.c.../i-222772.aspx

If you want something a bit more throaty than stock but civil while cruising I'd recommend the Tanabe Medallion Touring exhaust.

Just because they may not make them anymore doesn't mean you can't get them used. There's a guy selling a Greddy in the Black Market (they pop up every once in a while too), and there is a Comptech for sale on ebay. So they are still options to consider. But, I prefer ATLP(best looking aftermarket base exhaust) or the new RV6. I wish the RV6 came in a base tip setup though.

Just to clear things up, I know they no longer produce CT and Greddy. ATLP is right there at the top with XCL8 and RV6 Its a simple search on Google "Acura TL Exhaust 2004-2008" BOOM. I was just being silly for such a silly question
Good Luck with finding the best exhaust for you. It really comes down to sound and price. How much can you spend and what sound do you want....
You can even custom build one. It is just an exhaust.

actually it is not just an exhaust. yes they all give out around the same power but the quality of the material and design is what sets one apart from another. custom build is the cheapest way to go but wont yeld the same as XLR8, RV6, ATLP.

I've heard ATLP base in person too
From JnC..headlight guy, and his was intalled since 2 years

sounded so sexy and deep tone.. but I don't know, this XLR8 sounds crazy too
More like sharp tone, instead of deep...which I like

Actually its a deeper tone than the ATLP. However, the exhaust alone (non-res) is acutally music to the ears, but once jpipes and/or hfpc/pcd get install; it becomes really loud and raspy.

Loud and rasp...that goes for both ATLP and XLR8??

How about if you don't get the non-res and install J-Pipe?

I dont know about the non res ATLP but the XLR8 (I had the non res then converted to the res).

So you are saying stock cats-then jpipe-then resonated exhaust?
I think thats how justnspace started and iirc he had rasp.

^my bad

justnspace had rv6 jpipe first then rv6 pcd, no exhaust; rasp.

you are asking if you can put a non res exhaust with jpipe and wondering if rasp will be there? Well, I 1st had the non res XLR8 exhaust first, no rasp; then i got the rv6 jpipe, bam rasp at around 3-4k

Thanks..

Then most likely resonated cat back would eliminate the rasp with J-Pipe I guess

I am on the fence myself...I want sell my comptech and get a xlr8 base resonated. I have hfc-v3Jpipe-comptech. I love that note from the xlr8 in the video above. Its just about perfect. I'm just worried about the drone and being to loud. Comptech is not quiet by any means but i love that growl from the xlr8

Having no clue about what you guys are talking about...J=pipes or nothin else I just want to get something that is low base type loud; AT this time I don't really care; I want SOMETHING loud that will not damage the car; I don't mind the large "fart can" look of the gReddy; O & again being the no mechanical knowledge type of person I would need to have it installed ideally in a reversible fashion so if it ever becomes too much I could just go back to the original no harm no foul!!
