on the bubble? Magnaflow or single to dual tip??

guys, here's the scuttle: in need of quad exhaust. i've been torn between custom Magnaflow quads or just single to dual TIPS. if those who heard of or have this current set up please comment. looking for very minimum drone.

choice 1- Magnaflow single to dual #12148 w/ double wall angle tips
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-performance-parts-modifications-112/my-magnaflow-12148-quad-exhaust-setup-723508/
http://www.planetmagnaflow.com/shop/...12148-820.html

choice 2- replace stock tips w/ magnaflows single to dual tips and retain my current sound (stage 3) {leaning toward}
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...e=main&id=8295

Magnaflow has beed described as droning muff, can anyone verify?

I have had a magnaflow setup in the past with my 00 TL trust me you dont want it. As much as I love the looks the drone is just way too much for daily driving and I know that you know a thing or two about drone as you use to have a greddy on your TL.

If you want to do a custom set up then my suggestion would be sourcing two Remus exhausts, they come in single and dual tip iterations. Granted that remus is a bit pricey but you'd love the sound. I was planning to do a remus custom set up but jumped on the ATLP base bandwagon a month ago.

Here is what the ATLP base tip lookalike remus tip looks like

dual round

dual square

picture of different tips they offer

How about Borla? Last time I heard a custom Borla system, it sounded badass!! I personally had a Magnaflow setup on my 03 Altima v6, and loved the way it sounded. I haven't heard a Remus setup though.

Here is what the remus sounds like on a legend. I have always loved remus for their rumble and low key tone.

Not really, a good exhaust shop can make you a cat-back in a few hours. Remus usually makes axle backs for European cars and that is why you see the weirdly shaped mufflers. In your case you'll need to decide on what style of tips you'd need to go with and then just buy the universal Remus mufflers. The universal mufflers are kind of pricey but when you compare them to magnaflow etc then they are well worth the extra cost.

I really love the real titanium dual tipped universal muffler though

Here is an ebay dealer with almost all the universal remus in stock, I think you can save on shipping if you talk to him and state you want two of one type.

I think these are narrower than the magnaflow universal mufflers so I dont see a reason why not

The stainless steel ones come polished, the one that is shown above is Titanium hence the shown finish.

The magnaflow I heard from 2 members here had no drone wat so ever. They posted clips here as well, and there is virtually no drone in cruising speeds.
