I emailed them asking specifically about the 6spd rotors on the 3rd Gen TL. Here is the reply I received;

Question I asked:
Message: Are the drilled rotors for the 2004 Acura TL with the 6spd manual
transmission in stock?

Reply:

We do not have them in stock it usually takes about 3 days to get the from
Disc Italia as they are a bit pricey.

Front pair: $480

Since I dont need new rotors yet I am going to wait until next brake job before I buy, unless I get anxious. Hopefully they do exist.

I did although I made a mistake...brakeworld has the pads for 125 plus shipping...imaTLguy listed another page that had them for a lot less...i cant remember the site off the top of my head. The rotex gold kevlar pads are 65 dollars from them (for the 6spd 04 TL)...I live in ca so the shipping was 9 dollars...cant beat 75 bucks to the door. The only thing is that the other brake site doesnt have them listed for the 2004 so you have to call them.

Do any of those brake pads on that site produce less dust than OEM pads??

i think there are some pretty good at length answers to this question...some performance benefits but i also think you will find good arguments that will discourage track use. when i was a mechanic in college the owner had a race car and had braking problems until we swapped his solid rotors with crossdrilled ones...seemed to keep the brakes under control (sorry i cant remember what the exact problem was, this took place about three years ago) anyway, i dont want to make anyone dumber if i am wrong so search the topic.

i have done a bit of research on the drilled or slotted rotors and there are several benefits
the slots remove water better so good braking in the rain
the cross drilling allows the vented rotors to cool quicker, def needed in racing
cross drilling also relieves the stress when the rotors are heat cycled as in racing.

remember - if you buy any performance rotors you must heat treat them before normal driving...brake world has an instruction set, but basically you drive your car at various speeds and brake waiting between braking intervals like about 1 minute if i remember correctly.

if you do not do this your rotors will warp.

hope this helps!

The name of the other site is www.brakewarehouse.com. I'm on hold with them now. He said that the pads were @ $80 shipped. The dealer wants $203.64 for the front pads! Frickin' crazy!

I did read that the Rotax pads are low dust. I've been fighting the stock pads for 30K miles, and can't wait for something else.

Rotex pads are low dust, I still clean wheels when I wash my car once a week but the dust is minimal. I havent noticed any difference with stopping either, seem to work just as well. And yes, cant complain with 80 shipped.
