Best sounding exhaust for 2008 TL-S right now?
just got rear ended last night. exhaust is pretty much done. whats the best sounding exhaust out right now for the TL-S? i wanted to go with greddy but it looks like they don't make that anymore. any suggestions?

That's really subjective. However my opinion is the atlp exhaust because it's more mellow. This is a question only you can answer. YouTube is your friend here. Try Acura tl atlp exhaust and Acura tl xlr8 exhaust and choose your favorite.

LOL at wanting the best sounding exhaust, but wants a greddy.
as you can see, every one has different opinions because its very subjective.
obviously you take a liking to the greddy, even tho its discontinued and the ricest option of them all in sound and looks....
you're better off with the XLR8, ATLP, or the RV6

I don't have any exhaust mods on my car, but if I were to I guess it would be either the stage 1 or 2, or XLR8 resonated system. Can't stand the look of the ATLP tips, atleast on the Type S. RV6 is nice, but expensive, and from what I can tell it would be too loud for my liking.

i'm fully bolted too, lol, and its tame compared to my buddy's custom magnaflow exhaust.
my friend with the High flow cats and jpipe and resonated XLR8 sounds like a ferarri.
and his system is much louder than my pre-cats, jpipe and Rv6 True duals.

For real though all the vids of the catbacks dont sound the same. I got my xlr8 exhaust and it does sound exotic when moving, the reving in park doesnt sound anywhere near the true sound as when your moving. Ferrari ftw

XLR8 is the best but I think I may be biased.
XLR8 Performance Exhaust System are designed for function, form and style. Each exhaust system starts with T-304 stainless steel, known throughout the industry as the highest quality material practical for after-cat exhaust applications. All exhaust tubing is mandrel bent on sophisticated CNC machinery for a precise fit and uninterrupted exhaust flow. What’s more, the use of T-304 stainless steel flanges offers high strength and complete resistance to harsh elements. All hangers, resonators, and tips are T-304 stainless steel as well.
The mufflers used are built specifically for each system and are designed in accord with years of racing and street development invested into the design. Each muffler is tuned to match its application for the best possible performance gain and sound quality combination. Each muffler is polished to a high gloss beautiful finish; the rest of the stainless steel system is finished in a natural satin finish. And we include PRT in our mufflers, Purge Resonance Technology, which is a technology that significantly reduces drone.

from the XLR8 res, XLR8 non, RV6 TD, to the ATLP.....
and every one's ears are going to be different.
what you may find loud, another person will think its just right.
seriously, did you not read this thread???
some people have went the XLR8 non resonated route, and found that it was indeed too loud...all they did was simply add a resonator... to tone or quiet down the exhaust.
