don't ask a question like that. you'll incite gang wars and other acts of senseless mayhem. it all a matter of brand loyalty and which color you like. if you were to compare the filters, i like the fujita funnel design better (a la apex'i power filter), but i also love the aem dryflow. torn! torn between two beautiful filters! such is life! oh cruel world! alas, i have chosen aem over fujita...

i love the growl of AEM =)

AEM + Stage 3 exhaust mod = getting people confused with a car that looks stock.

my vote goes to AEM for overall package but the Injen quality and looks is better IMHO. another great choice would be K$N two piece if you are worried about the water getting in there! In terms of the actual gain I believe the winner is the AEM again.

I'm still debating on either AEM or fujita also... I heard the fujita from the movie-clip from other forum. Though the sound is nice, it's bit too rough for me. I heard AEM has deeper sound (I like that), but I don't know if it's going to be too loud for me. Any input guys? is AEM much louder than Fujita, or they are about the same level and just sounds different. I like deep sound but not too loud.
I wish there is video clip of AEM also so I can compare.

It comes with instructions. It isn't hard to do. It takes about 1-2 hours to do.

aem = wider pipe, more noise, more power, louder whistle

fujita = better filter imo, less of all of the above.

the aem whistling was why I went with a narrower pipe. (injen) but put a fujita filter on it...

I love my Fujita

I think they have finally changed the pipe for the Fujita, as I just got my a week ago, and the pipe seems much heavier & more substantial than the ones others have gotten. Same kit, just the latest version. (It now comes with the free bag & one of those little rubber sqeeze cars)

I like the Fujita clamps MUCH better for the connection to the throttle body.

The sound is great.

You can't go wrong with either the Fujita or the AEM.

AEM is the way to go. And dont listen to the short ram stuff....there wont be an issue. Driven in driving rain with CAI's and good size puddles....its not an issue unless you go boating in your car...lol.

My bro just got an 05 TL and I myself am a comptech fan, but I see they don't have their icebox for the 04+ TL. I didn't see it listed on their new and upcomming products section...anyone know what the word on it is? I have a feeling it's going to be a while especially with the change of hands with ownership of comptech.

I have a secret weapon R short ram intake in my 04 TL. Living in Seattle, I constantly worry about sucking up water 9 months out of the year. So, I went with the secret weapon.
However, I sort of wish I just paid the extra $50 and got the K&N cai because it can be coverted into a short ram. I think I might sell the secret weapon and buy the K&N and leave it as a short ram

You know it is sort of hard to tell. It feels like it, but I am not sure if it is the sound that just makes it seem more powerfull/

I live in Florida. During the summer, we get afternoon t-storm almost everyday. I am worrying about stucking up the water and damage the engine. Anyone here from Florida has his intake installed?

You don't have to be concerned with rain. It is flooded areas that are a problem. You have to submerge the front bumper in water to suck up water.

If you need an AEM CAI PM me I have plenty in stock.

I put the drop in K&N in about a year and a half ago. I did feel a power difference. I could tell it was power because the sound doesnt change, and I have 107k miles...I know my car very well!

aem vs. Fujita

Personally I think its up to the person which brand to go with. I have installed a Fujita CAI in my 06 TL and I love it!
