For those of you that have installed the V2 in there 3G TL's, I heard that you have to modify the fender or the hole where it goes through also that you have to use the Accord one to. Does anybody have Pics of this. Also want to know what is better keep the factory cleaner assembly with the resonator removed or go with cold air and is it worth the money getting the V2. Already have the J-pipe , race pipe and ATPL is on its way....

ive just seen a few youtube videos with tl's with CAI and the had CEL, however im 99% sure thats because of their other mods (cat delete or something) which triggered it.........
so I don't see why not to get the v2 then, very soon for me

So, to stillhere, would you recommend that this mod be done by yourself? I've already sent a phone call to Jotech, but they replied that I would be better off buying the regular CAI for my Type-S & that the V2 does not fit. Your pics seem to say otherwise, and I plan on bringing them with me to the shop.
I'm buying AEM either way, but would rather have my final answer before I buy the V2 and realize that Jotech will not fit it, or if they do, cause modifications to the fenders for fitment and end up ticking off my dealer (McDavid is rather against modifications to their new cars).
Terrific write up, though, and I appreciate the info this forum continues to produce.
Rick.

Guys check out my post on this. I've had mine on for a while with no issues. I love it; it has a better punch than the V1! Trust me, you won't regret it!

if you dont want to hammer at the fender wrap the intake in some sort of foam at the elbow... the reason I tapped at the fender was because I did not want the tube to make contact with it and create a clunk tap clank while idle

Tl's aren't jeeps, it seems that too many people think that
dont worry about snow, its a solid and there is no way it will go through your cone air filter unless you have no filter present, which in that case you could suck in a small dog...
in any case just slow down when approaching puddles or try your best to avoid them because its the same thing as popping your hood and dumping buckets of very dirty water on your engine and inside your engine bay, keep that place clean

Does anyone have any numbers for the hp difference between stock, drop in K&N vs a CAI?
I have a stock 07 tl type-s and was looking at the CAI kits but after looking at my car it seems Acura did a pretty good job designing the current intake.
Any dyno numbers to back it up?

Ok, just 1 last question. Is this noise easily heard? I'm having the V2 put on Wednesday, and I want to make sure I don't suddenly hear this while driving. I'd prefer the shop add something before they finish if the vibration & clanking is easily distinguishable.

Thanks for answering my question stillhere & Mr. TTL. Can't wait to hear her.

Man of God.....
Finally you guy's are doing this!!
I have been saying that the V2 was better. But it took this MAN "stillhere153" to get 'r' done"!
The V2 "IS" better. I know cuz I had one in my 2000 Integra. I tried all of the top brands.
Some lost HP. ----
Then I got the V2. Loved the sound. And the low - mid TQ boost! Yes, it's worth doing if you can "get a price"!
Maybe next time you'll listen to "the old fart"!
Yes, I know this is a repeated post for me....

First off, this thing's a beast. 3,000RPM flooring it and it just comes alive. Taking off from a slow start, and then giving it some gas, can get quite a few looks from the other cars.

Thanks, now researching where i can get it from. Hope i'll get a good price

ANyone got the part number? The only one I seem to find on a given website is AEM V2 for the v6 Accord 2003-2006... this the one?
I know what it said at the beginning Accord 03 - 07.. but the sites keep listing it as 2003 - 2006 accord. This the same one? I also plan on getting a throttle body spacer, where do I buy this "small aluminum extension?" THanks.
part # 24-6110C

I just need a few things cleared up about this. A friend of mine totalled his accord and said I could have his V2 intake. I understand their is a little hammering involved, not a big deal but, I'm just wondering if I need a TB spacer so there isn't as much hammering to do, also I'm confused about what to do with the sensor, and the vaccum line if they are to short?
