just so you know. the type S ATLP exhaust is no longer made. He makes a version for the base TL, but it doesn't have quad tips (unless I'm mistaken)

Yeah I heard something about somebody getting the last one. I thought he would make more. Oh well looks like I'm looking for the XLR8 resonated or non-resonated.

Technically, it does have quad tips, but they're then combined into just 2 exits. Looking at the exhaust from the rear, the quad tips really stand out.

Also, don't be surprised if you see people buying the ATLP base exhaust and adding quad tips to it. It's already got the dual exits in the mufflers.

that's right, I knew there was something to it that I wasn't connecting. And yes, there is one in the BM still if you want to scoop it up. I have an ATLP exhaust and I love it

Okay i really need help deciding weather to get xlr8 Res or Non Res catback system, i do have ATLP Jpipe and RV-6 Test Pipe (resonated) I just read and a guy has the resonated xlr8 and he says its pretty quite at cruise speed. The thing is, that i dont want one bit of Rice sound, i want a mean throaty sound. Unfortunetly most of the videos i see have a crappy ass video to hear/watch and there isnt to much xlr8 stuff out there to hear.

Dont mention to get atlp as i wanna keep the exhaust looking stock. I dont like atlp exhaust tips one bit. When i do get my exhaust ill put out a damn good video, i have a hd vid camera with 5.1 surround sound

Will i get a rasp sound with a test pipe and a non res catback? Or will it be throaty? I dont want it to be to quite, i want it to be mean!! Please help

non res, you can always add a resonator. its harder to take it away, then to add one

only the rv6 precat deletes cause rasp.

I'm kinda confused. If you want your exhaust looking stock, XLR8 tips do not look stock one bit. You've got a Type-S. ATLP Quads by far come closest of all aftermarket exhausts to looking like your stock Type-S quads. Not to mention they provide that deep mean growl tone you're looking for, without a single hint of rasp. I've had the ATLP Quads on for about 200 miles now, and the sound just gets better and better...

Please explain how laser engraving of "ATLP" comes close to stock, how the tips arent staggered like stock, or cut at an angel. Even mike told me to get xlr8 if i want stock looking exhaust.
This looks more like stock xlr8

And Atlp doesnt look near close to stock compaired to xlr8

I dont know where you come up thinking atlp quad tips look like stock over xlr8 but i hope now you can clearly see the difference. I wouldve bought mikes quad exhaust in a heart beat if it looked stocked.

The XLR8 exhaust is not ricey at all. It is deep and throaty and the non resonated is a little loud. It actually sounds pretty similar to the ATLP. The ATLP has a more aggressive tip design and different style tips but the sounds are very similar.

The ATLP quad is no longer available. You can get the ATLP base or Excelerate quads...
