Did you have to cut the bumper for them to fit properly once reassembled?
The Quads are sick, but I might go with the base to avoid cutting bumper or getting the a spec or ron jon. Moneys tight man haha

all the fanboys are coming out of the batcave lol.

i have the ATLP base and love it, especially the look since it covers the entire exhaust opening. put on the rear aspec and its perfect. sound wise, it gives a nce deep sound with no rasp. the greddy is insanely loud with a huge amount of drone in the cabin. if u want absolute loud, go greddy.

They are true dual exhaust? Haven't paid attention the thread, but first picture looks like it (in the thread).

RV6 full exhaust system = FTMFW. (PCD + J-PIPE + EXHAUST)

I like the both the ATLP gives it a nice deep sound not to loud, if your saying Im gonna wake the neighborhood up, and be that obnoxiously loud guy on the highway I wont go Greddy and go ATLP and just space it out a bit..
Anyone know where i can get a rear a spec for a decent price painted? ( or non painted)

Can't go wrong either way.

If you get the ATLP Base exhaust, you don't need another lip.

everyone here is just guna tell you to buy the exhaust that they have
i honestly dont care what you buy but i will give you information on what u shud consider...

My first exhaust that I bought was an XLR8 resonated exhaust. I kept telling myself that i loved it and how great it was but I was just lying to myself. Dont get me wrong XLR8 sounds AMAAAZING from the outside. There is no rasp at all and deeeep as fuck. People were scared to pull up to me because they thought I had 500+ hp in the car or someshit. The car just sounds like a beast from the outside but the drone inside is ABSURD. On long drives I would literally walk out the car and feel my head pounding..I have an alpine sound system and I would blast it hoping that I would not hear the drone.

While I had my exhaust...my friend..."djmanu" the guy who posted on this thread already got the ATLP non resonated exhaust. You can ask him yourself..my resonated XLR8 was still louder than his NON RESONATED. From being in his car many times I think that his drone is ridiculous too. The difference between ATLP and XLR8 in my opinion and his is that XLR8 is deeper and louder from the outside. I feel that ATLP is louder in the cabin than XLR8.

I got tired of the drone and i bought a COMPTECH exhaust. It has ABSOLUTELY zero drone when compared to XLR8 and ATLP. But i feel that the comptech exhaust sounds wimpy compared to the XLR8 and ATLP. It sounds wimpy during normal driving. But when you step on it its a different animal. It has a tamed deep roar when at full throttle. (But I do have other mods on my car) I do miss the aggressive deep tone of the XLR8 but I can sacrifice that for drone.

About the GREDDY....i have absolutely no first hand experience with it on a TL. My friend has it on his civic and it has ridiculously loud and has rasp. I cant make any assumptions due to that tho because he has a 4 cylinder engine and everything will sound raspy. But I do know this guy who switched from a comptech to a greddy and he thanks god everyday because he has a 6 speed and can shift at higher rpms to tone down the exhaust and lessen the drone. However, the member greco has a greddy exhaust and i saw some videos of his car. It sounds sexy from the outside. You would have to pm him for more input. He does have pcds tho and it sounds like shit when revved at neutral but every exhaust sounds like shit with pcds when revved at neutral. But from the outside I think his exhaust sounds the most aggressive from any other exhaust and i mean that in a GOOD way.

I believe the tanabe is almost identical to comptech.

RV6 TRUE dual is the exhaust I would defnitely get if I were to do it all over again because I just like to have the newest thing out that and the so claimed extra power...but thats just me.

Now you make the decision on what you want. Take into consideration your other mods.
I have an AEM V2 intake, RV6 V3 J pipe, and will soooooon have V3 PCDS which will make my Comptech sound probably as loud as the ATLP n XLR8 without the drone. If you will go fully bolted Tanabe or Comptech is probably the way to go. But by themselves and looking past the drone...ATLP and XLR8 sound the sexiest

I was really bored and need time off from studying for my finals so i decided to write this ridiculously long post.

PS.
everything is your opinion but DO NOT go stage 4 exhaust or any of the other shit...SOUNDS ricey as fuck

TL once used to be a semi luxury car and is now basically the price of civics but dont disgrace it like that

One of my friends has a comptech on his TL, I agree with how it sounds kinda "wimpy" Its a little to quiet for me.. I don't want anything to loud and raspy. And I have a sound system as well, I hope it will block the drone out if or when its unbearable. (for that moment) Ever since I was looking for exhaust I wanted the ATLP Quad because its just sick as shit. I preferably dont like the base's look but then again I've only seen 2-4 pics on peoples cars.
As far as other parts go, I was looking at an injen intake, or maybe K&N or even AEM V2.
I don't want to do to much to the car, because it is a SEMI luxury car like you said, and I really HATE people with their shit Civics that look like they're falling apart. (some look sick but most are horrible)
I honestly don't know to much about aftermarket parts past cat back and intakes. but this is actually my second car and my first truck was not even worth doing anything to, so its new to me.

Thanks for your long post. sure as hell helped. So do you think ATLP's drone is unbareable or can it be delt with?
I mean I know its a personal perferance.
Im looking for a deep nice sound, not to loud, no lag, no rasp.

Like i said my vote is for the ATLP but if you want to save 500 without shipping i got the Tsudo and it sounds AMAZING! Nice and strong sounding without the drone of Greddy and the price tage of ATLP!

drone is all personal preference...i cant deal with it but out of atlp xlr8 n greddy...atlp is the most bearable and the quads look good

if u are guna go fully bolted then go with comptech

How is the RV6 true duals compare with XLR8 and ATLP in sound and drone? I might consider those in the future since I just got the V3 Jpipe.

I have no idea about the RV6 exhaust. I dont even think people have received their shipments yet. Ask the guy who had the RV6 prototype exhaust. I am prettty sure it will be similar to it. Also as aggressive as the exhaust sounds from the outside there def has to be drone but I am pretty sure RV6 developed something to tone down the drone.

I had a full ATLP setup until just recently (got the RV6 v3 jpipe now)

But before that, i had the ATLP v1 jpipe, ATLP race pipe, and ATLP exhaust

There is DEFINITELY drone. yes, the exhaust does quiet down a bit in warm weather, but regardless there has always been drone for me. is nothing crazy like the greddy exhaust or the older XLR8's, but its still there. i dont mind it though

I've had the Greddy Evo 2 for almost 2 years and when I had it at first the only other mod I had was the AEM CAI and there was a lot of drone but the exhaust had a deep tone to it. When I put on the RV6 J Pipe I had a serious rasp noise coming from underneath the car. It almost sounded like the entire exhaust was about to rattle off the car. Last month I put on a long resonator and it cut down on the rasp and drone big time. Overall it's much quieter and I'm pretty satisfied with the way it sounds.

thank you.

the thing is the greddy evo2 is the most free flowing exhaust made for our car. match it up with a turbo/supercharger and you will really gain full power of it.

to each his own

I have the Greddy, and I absolutely love it.. I am 17 years old though, because some of you would say younger guys get it (from some posts I've seen in the past..).. It's deep, not raspy, sounds perfect IMO.. That vid of the ATLP, doesn't really sound all that aggressive, no offense AT ALL.. Maybe I just need to hear it in person.. But if you're looking for something deep, loud, and aggressive, Greddy all day..

lol.. Yep, that's what I meant.. I guess it's best for younger people, but still good for older.. Either way, you make the decision to what exhaust you want OP.. Just make sure you read up on each exhaust, watch videos, and maybe try to find somebody local with both exhausts and listen in person.. Good luck though, whichever way you decide..
