ATLP ftw. I've had the non-resonated Base exhaust on my car for almost a year. I was getting pretty bored with the TL and the exhaust made me fall in love with my car all over again.

Get on YouTube and search my username. I've posted a few videos of my exhaust but the camera quality isn't too hot.

 

So I think I have seen this question asked, but not sure I have seen a good reply? I want to put a j-pipe on my TL first, and keep the stock exhaust for now.. If you install a race pipe at the same time, will that add any more HP???

 

My ATLP Base is coming next week. Hell yeah!!. Jpipe and racepipe will def see some good gains.

 

first of all....there are new versions of the jpipe that get rid of the 3rd cat....so you dont need a "race pipe"

 

i have the stock exhaust system and stock 3rd cat. i got rid of the stock j-pipe and replaced it with a XLR8 j-pipe.

needless to say, i definitely noticed more low end tq immediately. so going with a aftermarket J-pipe + 3rd cat delete (whether it be race pipe or high-flow cat) i'm pretty sure it will still yield gains.

I want to get the base ATLP myself, but Im not even supposed to be modding the TL its my daily, and I need to finish my K swap EG lol

Has anyone done a single exit exhaust on a TL yet?

 

yup seen a member on here with a turbo setup and a single 3 or 3.5 inch exhaust coming out only on the passengers side. i forgot the members name, but i'm sure someone remembers him or can post a picture for you. its a white TL also
