It was the first time at the track for my TL my best run was my first as my clutch started to slip in suqsequent runs. I have been dragging my various FWD Honda's recreationally lastly being my turbo 2000 prelude. The TL is a heavy car but feels very strong in the upper end. I have an AEM intake and Comptech S/S in my S, I had about 1/2 a tank of 93 octane gas and my briefcase in the trunk

ehh...
IMHO....07 TL-S reg. tires = suck anus
Im going to be attending Honda Day @ e-town this weekend....depending on how packed it is, and how the temp. is. (hopefully not TOO hot) I might run it at the track. Let's see what happens =]

Low 14s and high 90s for trap speed on a hot day is not too bad at all.
Seems like a few minor mods (intake/exhaust) and get a good launch on a day with good air a Type S should be able to knock down some 13s without too much problem.

12.20 in the 1/8th mile. If you use the 1/8th mi to 1/4 mi calculators..... that equates to a not so optimal time too.
R&T times dont represent the best a vehicle can do. If you read their testing conditions they set it up to get the time that they think an average driver can do.

My automatic Type S tips the scales at ~ 3,650 pounds curb.
I'm still waiting to hear from someone who has posted actual times at a strip with an '07/'08 TL-S automatic.
BTW: I think my (bone stock engine) '06/6 speed/V6 Accord EX was slightly quicker than my TL.

yeah the high that day was like 101 so temp played a big role....i just went with some friends and decided to see what the type-s would do....the 60 ft time was 2.33 sec...the 1/8th mile wasnt 12.2--that was 1000 ft. 1/8th mile was 9.6 sec @ 76MPH.

For what it's worth, here's my results from last month. **Don't laugh!!!** Albuquerque isn't any better than Denver (altitude). The track is at 5500 ft above sea level, so the air is thinner up here. Also, I have a CBP TL-S 5AT, stock (at the moment)...
Reaction Time: .561 seconds
60ft: 2.497 seconds
330ft: n/a
660ft: 10.516 seconds @ 73.287 mph
990ft: n/a
¼ mile: 16.205 seconds @ 86.283 mph

I guess I get sick of hearing all these pumped up civics, srt4's, etc that claim all these incredible numbers. Yet you never see proof. My Cobra's best ever was 11.82 at a buck nineteen. Perfect day, incredible air, and a hard hook. It is in reality a 12 flat car. Yet the few times I ever ran one of these cars on a freeway on ramp, etc...it never had a problem with them...except one. I had a Supra that flat ass embarrassed me. Incredible car.

Don't make me laugh
TL a 13 second car? Sorry but the reality is that these cars are simply too heavy to get to the 13's without some serious mods. My prior car was a 13.4 second car and it weighed almost the EXACT same as the TL but it had a (conservative) 349HP normally aspirated engine under the hood. In order to get a TL into the high 13's you are going to need at LEAST a supercharger.
