OK SO I GOT MY 04 TL A MONTH AGO, DID THE CAI, UNORTHOOX PULLEY WITH GATOR BELT, MAGNAFLOW RES. AND DELETED MID MUFFLER.
I LOVE THE RESULTS BUT NOW I WANT MORE

methanol injection helps cool off the intake temps for cars, esp ones with forced induction that get the air hot, like the Comptech S/C. As well it adds octane to help prevent pinging. Only experienced folks should toy around with it since too much methanol and it's basically hydrolocking you motor...

You should do a real catback since eliminating the mid muffler really isn't going to free up any hp. I recommend:
Catback Exhaust - XLR8, ATLP, Greddy, Comptech
J-pipe (we just released ours - XLR8)
P2R TB Spacer and thermal gaskets (including the intake mani gasket)
P2R Ported Runners
High flow 3rd cat - Random Tech is a good option
Then upgrade your suspension and brakes since those are just as important as going faster.

It cools the charge air and adds octane and fuel.
The only extra power on a NA TL would be from the cooling effect. While that's a good thing, there's going to be a lot more cooling of 200-300 degree air from a blower or turbo than from the 100 degree air NA.
It does not contain oxygen like nitrous. The two are completely different.
You can't hydrolock the motor from it. I used it as a supplimental fuel under boost and for the 20% I was looking for, it took 150psi pump pressure and a fairly large nozzle. I mean, if you really tried like running a large line and leaving it open with no nozzle, it may or may not hydrolock the engine.
It can make the engine A/F go rich.
