YES!!

You can put on a Unorthodox Racing Lightweight crank pulley(stock Diameter) which weighs about a pound. Your stock crank pulley weighs almost 8lbs I believe. That will free up some HP and TQ for you all across the powerband.

I did that mod when I had my timing belt replaced and it was a great mod for the $$$$

Did you get the pulley put on at a dealer? I don't think a dealership would be too keen on doing this but I don't really trust other mechanics to do the timing belt.

Straight from the description of the underdrive...
"This version of our crank pulleys increases performance because they underdrive all the accessories (15-20% more power)"
a smaller pulley has less mass to rotate. so you'll get more power.
BUTT, with a smaller pulley you get undesirable effects because it does underdrive the accessories.

"This means one you air conditioning is on our crank pulleys give you more power back to the wheels by not letting the air conditioning compressor rob as much powerHowever, we do not push the amount or percentage of underdrive too far for two main reasons. First, it is important to keep charging systems, air conditioning, power steering, and water pumps moving fast enough for every day driving. Second, not much horsepower is gained from extreme underdriving. We always keep our underdrive percentage under 20% which is what allows us to maintain factory specified outputs for all your accessories. Our testing has found for most vehicle models you can upgrade your stereo to a system of up to 600 watts (RMS) and not have any charging problems."

Also, people that have gone F/I with the super charger route, they don't get full boost because its being under driven.

the stock sized one gains as well because its lighter.

so the stock from acura is 8lbs.
stock sized one from UR is 1lbs.

its lighter and will spin faster.
its the same idea as the underdrive pulley, but retains stock diameter.

It was the best mod for the money next to my Jpipe IMO. The gains are all across the board. It will free up about 8whp and similar torque gains.

When I did this on my truck I also purchased a OVERdrive pulley for the alternator. This acts as a balance for the electronics/power!

I plan on doing this mod on my TL next year when I perform the 100K Maint as well! It is the perfect time to do this mod being they are taking the Crank Pulley off anyways!

I have read somewhere... Maybe when i was building my RB25 that URP may hurt the engine as the is a damper the help with engine vibration built into the stock one and this vibration can hurt the engine over the long haul... Thoughts? I just ordered a J-Pipe and if people have been using one for a long time with no issues ill get on getting one!

The J32A3 engine is internally balanced. There is no problem using the lighter pulley. The engine will be fine.
