wow! That is quite a feat, especially to do in your driveway with only 4 jackstands and a few tools! Props to you! What mods do you have for 260 WHP? Also do you plan on beefing it up a bit to handle more power? IF so, how? BTW it'd be a good time to install a trans cooler on it.

Your car has progressed quite a bit since the last time I saw it! Though it's not my cup of tea, I do have to admit that it does look pretty clean. Have you though about taking some of those chrome door strips, painting it red and putting it on the large middle slat in the lower grilles? It would match the headlights pretty nicely!

i have a v2 aem cai, pre cat delets, j pipe, stock 3rd cat, tl type s cat back, samco cooling hoses, ur crank pully, factory intake manifold spacer, ported and polished intake runners. yes i do plan to tear the trans apart and see if their is anything i can do to make it better. i can tell you this thow one of the problems that we are having with are trans is that it has a lack off filtration on it. i found out that their are 2 filter on these trans. the top filter should be changed everytime you do a trans flush. the other filter is in the trans and the trans has to be torn down to get to it so you wont ever be replacing it. i will also be putting a trans cooler on it when it is rebuilt, also i will be putting an external trans filter on it you can get one at autozone or napa. yea i got the bumper painted finally and got a jdm honda emblem for it

All i found was OBX, and they're products are sub-par IMO

I'll have to check out the pics when I get home, but it sounds like a nice little project you're undertaking. Any particular reason? Also, are you still looking into the things we talked about the other week?

Oh, and believe it or not, they got my car running. It seems ok, so far.

Ah, it died. Well, you're already in there, might as well swap it...you know you want to. Either way, good luck with the project; it's a ten on a scale of ten no matter what you end up doing.

EDIT: as for everything involved with a swap, check out the 2G section...fsttyms swapped a 6MT from a CL into his 2G TL.

yes, since the 6mt one does not have the PRNDM lights. In all honestly, it would be a lot easier to trade in your car, the 6MT comes with the factory brembo's, larger rear swaybar from the factory, torque damper for the motor and a few other things that would be hard to swap in.

Have you read through this thread? https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/very-interesting-conversation-my-transmission-builder-tl-721508/

Look at post 16. They talk about the pressure switches causing problems in the auto trannys.

That is so SICK btw that you did that in your driveway!

111,000 lack off filtration i would recommend changing fluid e very 3 k if you can afford to and if not every 6 k and change the top filter ever 10k maybe or even 6 k .the 2nd filter is in the trans and has to be torn apart which i am in process o doing and post pic soon.
stripped it down

torque converter

You have GOT to put a high stall convertor in there. Most convertor shops will restall your stock one for $80-$140. That would be the best single mod you could make to an auto.

I prefer an aftermarket high stall convertor over a restalled stock unit but I doubt anyone makes one for a TL.
