Air Intake Resonator Delete
Quick questions, if I do the air intake resonator delete will that allow water to go in? I read somewhere that the resonator also blocks out water.

Removed the intake resonator on my Accord but my intake system is set up for quiet air intake and isn't as good at the TL cool air system. Definitely more free flowing now, tube that goes into the air box is barely into the fender so I'd have to drive through 2 feet of water for any risk of hydro-lock. There is an increase in sound but nowhere near what you get from an cone filter.

A resonator is a device or system that exhibits http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resonance or resonant behavior, that is, it naturally http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oscillation at some http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frequency, called its http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resonance_frequency, with greater http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amplitude than at others. The oscillations in a resonator can be either http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_radiation or mechanical (including http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acoustics). Resonators are used to either generate waves of specific frequencies or to select specific frequencies from a signal.
2nd, if you're driving your car into huge bodies of water, maybe you shouldnt drive.

Follow the blue arrows go upwards in the tube and jump as there is a space, or no tubing. then the air goes back down the tube through the resonator.
this jump in piping would prevent water* from sucking up into the throttle body
*common sense dictates you shouldnt drive into a POOL.

you'll have to cut a piece off the resonator to achieve this. it uses the stock rubber couplers and the stock velocity stack.
the velocity stack, the piece near the battery, is specially designed to force more air in
it's not hard.

I hate when people want to be spoon fed info. If only.they're were some type of website where all you had to do Is type something and information just popped up...If only...
