AEM vs Injen Intake Filter?

Which filter on the two intakes is better? The one on the AEM or Injen?

I cant find anything about how good the filters are, only the intakes... But I dont want to get the one with the best filter also...

Also, I know its talked about over and over, but do you guys think the AEM has low end loss like Injen shows on theirs?

I would sacrafice a little high end gain if the low end does not drop any.... OR is it just a fact that most CAI have low end loss? I cant go by AEM dyno because it is fake... Their base #'s are even off...

Thanks in advance!

If both filters have the same dimensions, and the same design, then they probably both flow about the same.

they both probably order it from the same manufacturer - K&N.

Or a place like sbfilters.com...

Filters are rated by cfm, and the flowrates are usually the same for the same size filter.

I tend to agree, the 1st AEM CAI had a K&N filter.... , the ones I bought later on ( after 2000) had their logo on the base ...Injen and AEM respectively...

I just got the AEM cold air intake installed yesterday - and it was a 3 hour job. But I am VERY Impressed by it - increase in power and the Roar ROCKS!!! They had to take the wheel off and the lining ... the guys didnt expect to take so much stuff apart and didnt realize that it will take that long.

So my question is how often do we have to change this filter??? Since its a Pain in the A$* to rip apart all that crap (wheel, lining...) before you can reach the filter and change it. I hope its not after a few months. Does anyone know???

It's not a pain in the ass to take off the wheel and the fender lining (except if you have the front spoiler), it's a pain to remove the stock resonator. I would think cleaning the filter once a year should be good depending on your environment.

This is from AEM's web site:
Service your AEM filter element with AEM's Filter Cleaning System at least every 50,000 miles or 30 months to maintain optimum performance. We recommend that AEM filter elements be serviced every 25,000 miles or 15 months on off-road and high-performance street applications. If you live in a region with extremely fine dust (arid or desert climates for example, follow the recommended schedule for off-road and high-performance vehicles. Always inspect your filter element whenever you change your oil.
