Anil, I know you told me why it was gonna be expensive when we saw each other last, but I had a few beers that night and dont remember. 17-1800 seems like a ton of money for some SS tubing and some Mag mufflers. You know Im not hating, just didnt want you to get ripped off. There is a shop here in NKC that said they would do a true dual on my buddy's Accord for like 450. Granted that wasnt SS tubing. Either way your setup looks badass and I cant wait to hear it. Have fun in TX and rep KC good.

Cool.
You asked about pros/cons of unequal length pipe.
I'm no expert (not by a long shot) but I'm going to say one con is that the exhaust pressure waves are going to reach the X-muffler at different times. I think this could create some resonant frequencies. It may partly explain why you have drone/rasp coming and going at different points in the rpm range.

the labor was 800
parts were 700 (mufflers/piping/bents/flex pipes/hangers/etc)
and taxes were 160 something

comments/critics welcome
PS: I know the tips are not aligned well and am going to get that fixed when i get back to KS, so cut that area some slack, will ya....Also, I know this setup is loud and has some drone/rasp so turn ur volume down until i get that fixed

I spoke to the guy who did the setup and we are looking into some options to tone down the rasp/drone and make it sound deeper....

I might just keep the inequal lengths and throw in couple resonators....

I honestly don't mind the sound too much. a lil high-pitched yea, but overall it's not horrible.
I've had 2 B-series: 1 was a GSR with a Skunk2 megapower and a HFC, then the other was an LS/V with a magnaflow w/ 1 resonator and no cat.
your car sounds nothin like either of those too did, they were raspy as fawk. but I'm a lil different than most ppl on here, I don't really mind it too much.
so mad props for the true-dual and bein a pioneer of it. get the tone a lil more deeper and you'll be golden.

However, I will guess that after the first x-pipe it doesn't matter; you get a new homogeneous wave pattern that has the drone/rasp "built in".
No matter what you do, no modestly powered V-6 is going to have V-8 rumble. What you want to avoid (presumably) is the ricey high pitched 4-Cyl with a tin can sound.
OTOH - everything you add back in to "tame" or "tone" the sound is likely an HP stealer.
BTW - you need to do a legit high rpm flyby at ~60 to 80 mph. That's what I want to hear.

All motor
I've never heard of someone doing 2 X pipes after each other. Honestly I wouldn't try it. Search for it at least before you try it.
I can't hear any of the videos but if you want to tone down the rasp, you need either 1 resonator with dual inlets/outlets as I suggested on the 1st page. The one I suggested, I think 11378 would be okay. It's not that large, but will help reduce the rasp. Or, you could go with 2 small 4in round resonators, whether it be Magnaflow/Dynomax/Vibrant, etc., is up to you.
In terms of losing power, it shouldn't really affect it too much as long as your mufflers are straight through. I doubt you will feel any difference at all. I don't mind slight rasp, I actually like it. But it has to be slight for me to like it. But I'm VERY picky. I've been through 4-5 exhaust setups and still not 100% satisfied.

this girl on the other hand gets mad at me if I slam the door by accident LOL...
No idea. I'm just taking generalities about exhaust and a truly limited understanding of wave mechanics and sound and putting 2? + 2? together. Whether it equals 4 or not, I don't know.

1> get the tips aligned
2> add resonators or another 2in-out mufflers (2.25" with NO x crossover)
3> check out the sound....any difference in rasp ?
4> equal length primaries
I think the rasp will be under control plus the sound will be deep....
I am still wanting to see what different length primaries can do....but well thats just me
Thanks for the input fellas....lets see how this comes out....

I am not a fan of the sound but I am a big fan of you being the guinea pig and learning about a True Dual. I am sure that there will be plenty people reading through this thread and learning what to do and what not to do in order to make their set-ups customized the way that they want it to be...
I for one can't wait to see the continued progress and transformations that you have with your set-up. Keep up the good work Swoosh
