Acura TL 3rd Gen Modifications!

So i've had my 2008 Acura TL base model for about a year now and I'm really interested in upgrading the power. I've already put a K&N Cold air intake on it and some lighter Enkei Raijin wheels. But I'd like to know what should be my next move! Any suggestions for relatively inexpensive mods to add power.

That means no SC kit lol.

Mastering the search function would be a logical next move.

power= j pipe, pcds

define relatively inexpensive? nothing is cheap to mod on the TL, except for LEDs for your interior (then again some may balk at the idea of paying $10 for a pair of bulbs for their dome lights).

Exhaust yo. PCD's (pre-cat deletes) or HFPC's (high flow pre-cats) paired with a j-pipe. I recommend RV6. Drop a grand on this:

http://rv6-p.com/tl/3rd-gen/v3-jpipe-hfpc-combo.html

Cheaper if you get the pre-cat combo. But I'm a hippy at heart so I go HFPC's. A little better for the environment. Eh, who am I kidding. It's just because we have a sniffer test here in Utah.

Best mod as far a power gains go that you'll do short of FI.

For the time being I don't want to spend more than $500. About how much is a good J Pipe?

I've also heard about a mid muffler delete. Does that do anything for power?

Okay. Thank you everyone for your replies!

I know this has nothing to do with performance, but I'm getting my angel eyes installed tomorrow! Wooooo!

J-Pipe and remove the mid-muffler to give the system a bit more growl.

im running rv6 pcd's and the power is there. 14-20hp. im switching over to hfpc because it is to raspy. going to hfpc is only 18% decrease in exhaust flow.

It's more than 18% if you're talking in terms of the Type-S. Type-S comes with 600 cell primaries, and the HFC's are 200-300 cell, so comparing PCD's to stock Type-S cats, the HFC's impose a 33-50% reduction in flow, since the Magnaflow cats Richie uses are 200-300 cell (no one's 100% clear which).

The base TL has 900 cell stock, so the HFC's are a little more beneficial compared to the Type-S. If I had the Type-S, I'd probably go with the PCD's and just do a bigger resonator to kill most of the rasp.
