3G TL-P 5AT to 6MT conversion?

Has anyone tried this yet? what exactly are all the parts i need and cost estimate? can i use either a type-s tranny or a base 6mt tranny?

I searched around cant find anything, but thats expected. Be more simple to sell and buy a new TL, but thats not one of my options right now.

I'm thinking about actually going through with this as the 5at transmission makes the car awfully slow.

THANKS. any help will be appreciated. If no has tried this yet, i'd be glad to be the first.

"Sell your AT and buy an MT" is the advice I heard a lot back then. I think the cost of money and time involved in the swap trump trading your AT in for an MT. It's probably the same now.

No one's done it. Several have sold their cars and then bought new ones. There was a thread with a good discussion on it a while back; all of the parts needed were listed in it.

Here is a 2G conversion.

fsttyms1's 6 Speed conversion (click here)

I agree with the others. Just go to the dealer and ask about trading-in your 5AT and get a used 6MT TL.

save the headache, trade it in for a 6MT. While your at it wait and find a S-6MT

u should hopefully find at least 1 within 100 mile distance..
