I have zero rasp... Just loudness... & as opposed to the big piping do you think Ivoire be loosing power I can't really tell if I lost or gained power? its quiet at WOT though... If you don't think there will be any kind of power gain by replacing piping after y then I'll leave it I can deal with it now that I added that piece just want full potential for power?...

you dont have rasp coz the full piping is acting as a resonator j/k
you should have gone with a 3" piping with a 2.5" split....or a 2.5" piping with a 2.25" split (which is OEM SPECS)....
if you want power, go back there, get a 3" piping with a 18" or a 24" magnaflow resonator (you like it quieter so get a 24" resonator) with a 2.5" splits and get 2 dynomax mufflers 2.5" in and call it a day....you will gain power, it will sound nice, and wont drone....

Go to summit racing and keep adding filters to your requirement (inlet size and inlet # and outlet size and outlet #)....this will bring you down to this
http://www.summitracing.com/search/d...er-in/2-250-in
check what size you can fit under the car and buy it
dynomax mufflers in my experience clears rasp better than magnaflow....but they do tend to drone a little bit
vibrant resonators cleans the sound up and reduces drone....

OK so I'm straight piping my acura tl 05. I already deleted the rear mufflers, but there was no real sound difference so I'm going to do the mid mufflers, any suggestions btw? ok so i need a diagram so i know what pipes to go by (how many, and inches etc.) so anyone have a picture of my cars undercarriage so i can work this out. thanks
thats my sound, if u wanna know how i got it cost me 20$

yep! the 18" will not create any rasp, i love the sound, it great. I can notice the sound when step on the pedal; but, sometime I wish it is a tiny bit louder. I think I will go with stage 3 after about 500 miles with the Mag. If anyone interested in buy it, let me know, cheap price for sure. Cause I want to get that money to buy the Dynomax.

08 TLS damaged piping (tighten fuel cap too!!!)
I damaged the stock J-pipe on a manhole cover, which led to a nasty hollow exhaust sound (like air getting in somewhere) and had to have it replaced. Occasionally, the heads up display lets me know that i need to "Tighten fuel cap". The impact also led to my oil pan needing a replacement too.
To no avail, those quick fixes didn't solve the exhaust noise problem. After taking it to a muffler shop, they let me know that i need to replace my Cat Converter because its now clogged.
I am wondering if it makes more sense to just remove the 2nd Cat altogether and just put pipe between the block and flex pipe. If i delete that 2nd Cat, is it absolutely necessary to delete the 1st Cat as well?
Not really going for a loud or ratchy Roar, just anything to get away from this hissing sputter. a nice hum or purr would be nice.
PLEASE HELP!

^ At least he search, so we cannot complain that newbies wont search and read.
Tommy, if you plan on going with you plan:
"I am wondering if it makes more sense to just remove the 2nd Cat altogether and just put pipe between the block and flex pipe. If I delete that 2nd Cat, is it absolutely necessary to delete the 1st Cat as well?"
I would suggest in PCDs.

do it once and do it right !!!
there are a ton of folks running a custom catback like yours....do not add any more resonators/mid mufflers....after the split, get a 2.25" piping to the mufflers and tips, that will help with the sound....
just remember you have the PCD's and hence loud and a little rasp is something you will have to live with but even though, it should sound good.....
