TLfourplay hasn't had any problems with his (that I know of) and he's been putting his type S through some rigorous "testing". Are you sure that your friends problem was caused by the AEM CAI?

i know. i have been following TLFourplays progression along with a number of other 07TL-S so far no one has had a problem. my friend over the phone told me that the CAI did blow the code. he is 2 states away so thats what i have.

I just replace the air box with a generic cone filter and it sounds awesome under WOT.

if can tell you what the code is, we may be able to help. Just off the top of my head, it could be a loose sensor or some snipped wiring during the install.

It's a tube and a filter. what are you nervous about.. what do you think the difference would be for one that is specifically designed for an 07?? hmmm probably the sticker on the box. c'mon now.

I have tried to post pics but I get a "Explorer User Prompt - Script Prompt: - Enter the text to be formatted . Anyone help? To answer your question, I just took off the top portion of the air box and replaced it with a generic 11" cone filter from Pep Boys and kept the rest of the stock air intake.

I just love it. At gear change, it makes a noise as if the engine was turbocharged (ie, WRX). They talk about it in other treads. Besides, if it rains, no worries about water.
