No company makes a "turbo kit" for our cars, so you'd need to have someone fabricate a kit from scratch for you.

Well, I probably won't be the first to tell you this, but you have the wrong Type-S for your plans; what you need is a Type-S with a 6-Speed Manual transmission.

You need to find a used J&R turbo kit. It's the only setup that was designed for the TL

Won't work on auto, designed for 6 spds. Bigger auto trans is in the way.

Won't make a difference; in fact, most J35s used the same head as on the J32A3.

The heads are already pretty clean; porting them may open up a few (few as in 'single digits') extra horse power up near redline, but by the same token, you are likely to lose a bit of low to mid range torque due to reduced low-end resonance and turbulence.

Sorry bud but the auto power dream doesn't exist in JDM cars. You can go chance 400 hp on a 60le on american cars, but JDM auto trans is safest under 400 if you want any longevity without paying $3000+ to overbuild the transmission.

Stick to NA power, there's a lot of extra power to be had in these cars, especially TL-S, you just can't get it by slapping a turbo on it. You can run a low psi supercharger or turbo, but your power output should be under 400 for an auto, with a cooler, with custom fluid, with mods, with frequently checked and swapped pressure switches.

I'd start with looking up auto transmission maintenance and improvements before you add power. I just killed off my auto to get into a manual, and while I spent a lot of time keeping my auto alive it paid me back every day when I didn't need to use a clutch and dropped power from 3krpm with the brakes on (if you like that sort of thing, i'm reformed). There are pressure switches that when replaced can add longevity, as well as simply swapping the fluid and adding a generic aftermarket transmission cooler/temperature gauge ( I went overkill with the temp gauge), and all those have lead to auto transmissions being used on the AV6 forum to hold up to 400-450HP for a fair amount of miles. Do some searching before asking though, this as well as intake and exhausts are the three most popular posts on the forum, and there's a lot of info. The advanced search tool is a godsend once you figure out all the details and have some time.

There are also tools to adjust the pressures and switches inside the auto transmission. Nobody has officially experimented with this, but if you're going through and replacing everything and trying to really bolster this transmission, and want to gamble with some new tech that could make the transmission better or blow it up, PM me and i'll collect my info. Only AFTER installing every possible upgrade however, just adjusting the pressures can break a worn down transmission or one getting bad signals from bad pressure switches.

PrankParts is worth a google.
