lol

This is what the majority of people here are saying:

AFTERMARKET anything makes whatever stock "thing" look 10x better. But what if the stock "thing" already LOOKS better then the aftermarket "thing" but the aftermarket "thing" performs a helluva lot better? I know its rare that you can have your cake and eat it too but if we have a shot at getting our tiramisu than why not try?

EDIT:
I'm ready to take a small road trip up to Branford and get the exhaust installed by xlr8 yesterday if only these small ramifcations can be made.

I should have more pics tomorrow of this setup tomorrow and we can actually pull the tips in a little so they can be a little more flush.

I'm waiting on BB to send me the pics. They have tried to send them a couple times and they keep getting bounced back. I have a bunch of new pics and dynos coming and my exhaust should all ship this week.

EX,

Okay, so a lot of people don't like the tips. What would it take to remove the tips from your exhaust and put on the stock tips?

No one has asked this question, but they're beating around the bush. The stock exhaust is awesome on the looks, that's what seperates the TL from the type S.

Damn, if you could duplicate the stock ovals with chrome on your pipes.....

EX, any users on here that have bolted on your supercharger kit for the TL? Would like some opinions/stats on it. Thanks!

Want It All

Thanks, some good info here.
Anyone, know how to bump-up of the rev limiter (5500rpm) and top end (135mph)?
If money was not an issue, is there anyone GOOD in the country who is doing custom work on the 2007 TL-S?

Here are some pics and dyno runs on the TL-S M/T we had fitted. The dyno runs show good gains in the low end as well as high end.

Also as we speak the mufflers are being pulled in a little and raised a little to close the gap and make it a more snug fit.

These exhausts should be ready to ship by the end of the week.

Here is a video of our base TL system. I don't have one yet on the TL-S system, but this should give you a good idea of what the resonated system sounds like.

Actually they just polished the entire exhaust on the base TL for the prototype and for display pictures. The mufflers and tips are polished but the rest of the system has a satin Scotchbrited finish. The entire system though is 100% stainless steel.

Oh I see, thanks Josh!

What kind of SS do they use, 304 grade? Also what about the resonator, is it polished, what's its size?

I guess this would be the same for the Base TL exhaust.

Just wondering if there is any warranty on this?

I have to say Xcelerate have done an impecable work with the mods that we requested on that exhaust...It looks like that rear bumper is A-spec correct?
I am curious on the dyno graphs...you can see the 10/10 whp/tq...But that was on a stock Type S?
On what conditions? 5 days ago i ran stock on my MT TypeS 253whp at 83F and 70%Humidity
Those numbers seem to me either AT Type S or 6 MT non type S

Am curious on the side view as well, although the mods since the original pics are looking super, much better than the original prototype. The pick up and slide back should really do this exhaust justice. I'd be happy to be a tester on a Type-S A/T, and promise to take pics BEFORE I go mud-bogging!

Great Job Ex, this exhaust is really making strides!!!

Dude...get off your high-horse with the TypeS M/T superiority complex. Not all dynos are the same. The whole idea of the dyno was to test the before and after.

+10 whp/trq is expected and Excelerate really came through and implemented those changes recommended by us ziners. Now I have a month to decide ATLP or Excelerate....decisions decisions...

WHATEVER DUDE...I know all dynos are not the same..good gains for the exhaust...still its not a superiority complex...But numbers are numbers...the dont lie sorry to bust your balls if your car doesnt give the same numbers

Look at Excelerates post again bro. It clearly stated its for a M/T Type-S. It wasn't an Auto. It was a M/T = Manual Tranny Type-S.

You're going to have to modify the base TL rear bumper to get this to fit or get the TL-S rear setup.
