No pics of the final product installed yet (or a sound byte)? Summer's almost here, so it's the perfect time to start the mods...

They are finishing the tester's exhaust and polishing it. As soon as he gets it we will have some pics and maybe some audio files.

I just finalized pricing on the TL-S exhausts. The TL-S non-resonated system will be $1000 shipped and the resonated system will be $1025 shipped to the cont US.

We also should have J-pipes developed within the month or so.

that's pretty decent on the price.

How big are the tips going to be?

Dumb question, but what's the difference between resonated and non-resonated?

Sweet....Can't wait for the pics on the type-s. Take a bit Excelerate. Also see if we can get some clips with the non res so we can hear both. Hope we get it soon!

Someone feel free to add, but I know resonated produces slightly less hp (very slight) but decreases drone. vice versa for non resonated. (its bc of piping modifications)

Can't wait for some clips/pics!

I really like the type-s exhaust. Too bad my rebate check isn't enough for that. Besides I need a CAI, TB spacer and Pullies first.

Wait.....
There are dyno plots, but no pictures of installed systems?
I thought those went hand in hand?
I think I like the tips better than the atlp

The dyno was done with the prototype. The prototype had to be taken back off the test car to make a jig for mass production. No time for pictures or sound clips because the owner of the test car needed his car back!

Skip the pulley and spacer...get a jpipe for more gains and don't forget to do the free TB bypass mod.

I can't believe there will be 3 jpipes available soon.

The pulley gives more gains than the intake. I'd skip the intake before the pulley, although the induction roar is nice.

You are right, but I was thinking the jpipe and intake will compliment each other very well. Get as much air in and out of the engine as possible.

j pipe + intake + pulley = a lot of gains

Ha some of you guys are funny. Anyways who makes the best Jpipe? Pictures of all 3 would be best so I can compared their construction and specs would be nice also if available.

And to the guy who mentioned the race pipe. That works in conjunction with the jpipe and catback already? Or does it replace some part of the catback?

Race pipe or "test" pipe replaces the 3rd cat. Only two J pipes currently in production, ATLP and J-Shift. Excelerate is designing one now, too. General consensus is that the ATLP flows a little better than the J-Shift, but also costs~$50 more.

Thanks! So it's basically sandwiched between the jpipe and catback.

What is the consensus based on? Did they put both j-pipes on a flow bench or are those "butt dyno" estimates?

I dont see how one could flow significantly better than the other considering they use identical size pipes and are nearly identical in design and runner length.

I guess the consesus is based partially on the shear number of orders for the ATLP. Not sure what pictures you're looking at, but there's an important difference in design. The ATLP runs into a true 2/1 collector, whereas the J Shift doesn't. If you look at the J Shift, you'll see where the rear runner sort of "piggybacks" into the front one. In this thread I don't see Richie disagreeing with someone's opinion that the ATLP will flow better:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...7&page=3&pp=40

You own a well built product, but no need to roll your eyes because you're not in the majority on an opinion.

jokerunm they have told me your exhaust will ship Monday but again I'm hoping that is true.

UPDATE: Ok the test subject's exhaust was shipping today. And my production run should be shipping by early next week the latest. I should have pictures of the system, but not on the car yet, by tomorrow or Friday. And then hopefully joker will get us some pics of the exhaust on the car and with some sound clips.

Yes this will bolt up just like the base TL exhaust; you just need more clearance for the quad tip.
