'06 TL 6MT comptech SC DYNO!
Dyno day at jms Racing in San Antonio today.surprising turnouts and I'm completely happy.. bonestock 06 TL 6MT with comptech supercharger on a dynojet!

It was a beginning to a project that ended sooner than expected plus why pass up a chance on a SC for a good price and make more power than spending it on full exhaust or "full bolt ons".. I'm sure comptech didn't create a supercharger that'll blow your engine or REQUIRE you to buy supporting mods.

Wow that's one flat torque curve. I bet it feels good at WOT. I wish the J-series motor had the familiar VTEC "surge" I so love to feel. I'm aware that after you s/c B16, B18, and H22a the VTEC "surge" goes away as well. Awesome dyno numbers. Your car most likely has a "Wednesday" motor...

A bolted 6MT would net you close to 300 whp for considerably less and with more reliability.
The lack of supporting mods does not help either.
Check out the JnR ECU if you haven't already.

^ LMAO. Funny how urban dictionary had it lol.
Those numbers are really high for an 06 TL . 73F with 33% humidity running conditions.
the graphs dont even show when Vtec kicks in.
I know your selling the s/c, but if my base numbers on a stock j32 with s/c were 312, i'd figure a way to keep it and build it up.
At tmax- A fully bolted 6MT TYPE S will nearly make 300WHP. a 6MT base fully bolted should be around 265-280 but considering cost.. Exhaust, Jpipe, Precats, CAI, LW Pulley, labor = over 2000 already... Used charger can be had for a little over 2K. Adding an exhaust and tuning (JR and FIC) and he's looking to spend another 1500 so for a start of a project, i think hes doing good. Too bad he wont finish it....

i very well may be wrong, but I assume he's referring to the old adage about the quality of the motor depending on when it is built relative to the week.
We had something similar here in Wisconsin, when AMC was still around in Kenosha, the running joke was always around whether you got a car that was built in the morning (good) or afternoon (bad) because all the guys on the floor building your motor would go get drunk at lunch across the street, lol.

I would say the dyno is way off, maybe trying to calculate crank HP. My car 06 MT ran 265-270 WHP with the SC and no other mods. No way you car is making an additional 45-50 HP or pretty close to what a fully bolted SC MT would make. It would be cool if it was that easy to make power, but it's not.
Lol look up jms Racing same shop that built Texas first evo running 9's going into 8's. I thought the dyno was showing numbers under up until it was my turn.
My cousins evo 9 with Turbo manifold, full exhaust,Meth injection, intake made 249/364
..we thought the dyno was def under and asked them and said the dynojet they have is completely accurate and will provide real HP # for the speed and temp as simulated on the street. I was hoping for 280-300 but made 312 and happy as f*ck ...never said my car was faster than anyone but numbers are numbers.

Ahh man they bashing on the poor OP... Hmmm i havent had the needs to dyno my car and have all the bolts on except pulley & S/C and i kno for sure those # r high....
Also remember Joe (ssmtl2nv) having to go thru like 2 engine since the S/C kept blowing it.

I would like to invite anyone in Texas or surrounding areas to come out to jms on the next dyno day so we can compare #'s .$35 for 2 pulls food drinks and BBQ

Dyno reads correctly and not high, his #'s may be slightly above avg due to a NEW couple days old clutch. My 4cyl Mustang made 265hp/268tq at the wheels on stock 16lbs with a bad fuel pump Sunday.
fyi - its a swapped 1986 Ford SVO 2.3 Turbo 4cyl motor with some mods

WOW...you got 100 hp with the SC
base 6mt is around 220....and your at 312....i would suggest getting some supporting mods (hint: free flowing exhaust setup)

my first thoughts too. I saw OP's f/s thread in the BM for this s/c and noticed he got it from 213swampy.
Then i remembered this

hbp with amc

at least install an a/f gauge. you have a boost gauge installed right? How much boost are u making?
And if you are indeed using a HBP, please update your f/s thread so people know exactly what they are getting.
<---just looking out for the next owner

his numbers are around 40 more whp then other peoples stock s/c numbers. A new clutch is not going to do that.
Oh wells the shops # is on the dyno sheet so anyone feel free to call and ask instead of doubting, I would call but dont care. I didnt ask the dyno operator myself and was there just to have fun and eat so could be wrong. either way I have bigger issues to worry about like my fuel pump causing my graph to look like crap ha ha

resurfaced dual mass flywheel ftw

not the shop.
Hope myagi did infact take off the S/C, and isnt running it.
