XM Nav Traffic not working!

I handed off my '08 TL to a valet for a 3 day visit to San Francisco. He left the lights on and had to jump my car. The nav traffic worked perfect before, now I can't get it on for the life of me. I've called XM at least 5 times to resend the signal, it ain't coming back! Anyone else encountered this when the resent signal doesn't do anything? Any solutions? Many thanks!

Update:
Stopped by my dealer, they fixed it! You just have to take off both battery leads, touch them together, and it will do a hard reset of the system. Nice!

XM traffic service not working

It seems my system HAS NEVER WORKED !!! I get only construction incidents that are 25+ miles away. About 3 weeks ago there was a highway shut down within 8 miles of me and EVERY radio station reported it got nothing on the XM. So I have been calling ...... I was told by XM to go to the dealership for a CD rom (by 1 rep ) , software update (by another rep). After 4 yrs of constantly calling and refreshing signals for it to do nothing, I am just being referred to the dealership. So I called the dealership manager twice & the XM supervisor called & left 2 voice mails he did not return any calls. I went Saturday and NOBODY knew nothing and tried nothing but the internet and wasted 3 hrs of my time. So still on the "fix" list .......girrrrrr

What is the city nearest you?
XM Traffic works off of transponders placed by the DOT or highway dept.
You should check to see if your freeways or roads have transponders.

If your freeways or roads don't have transponders, XM Traffic will not work, and you will have to rely on the XM traffic station or traffic news off the radio.
