Question Wiring through the A pillar

Does anyone by chance have instructions on removing the A-pillar panels? I want to hard-wire my V1 by the rear view mirror to the fuse box. Just finished installing the ZR3 laser jammer.....and need to make this last run to complete the install.

Thanks in advance....and thank you for sharing all the usefull information in this forum

John

I think there's also some sites that will mirror some pages that usually goes down fast (mostly after slashdotted - slashdot.org), maybe we can do the same on the 3G garage thread...

Thanks Guys. Operated on the A-Pillar this evening with no problems. V1 is now mounted b/t mirror and headliner. Will be installing the remote display and remote mute button this weekend.

I don't see why people get radar detector... I hardly see any people get pulled over by radar anymore, mostly pacing or laser... The laser detector part is pretty much useless because by the time you detect it, you're tagged... Someone please find a way to convince me to get a radar detector since I dun think it has some use...

Many states still use radar....yes, laser is becoming more prominent, but radar is still used by many local police. I live in MD......In the last years 12 I have only recieved tickets via laser (fortunately, I have had better luck in court).... I do see your point...but I have avoided many other tickets via rolling radar b/c of the V1) I think its still worth it...You if you have any friends in the force you could ask to see what they still used in you area. An also on one occasion, I was hit with laser from far away, far enough that when the V1 went off I noticed the cop walk onto the road like he was going to stop me....I noticed a turn off and turned...he did not follow

btw....you can add a laser jammer. I have the passport ZR3...it works great

Actaully jamming radar is "illegal" in all 50 states and is regulated by the FCC and prohibited unter federal law - I definately would never go there!!!

Laser on the other hand is regulated by the FDA; and consequently, has not outlawed the use of laser jammers. Some states (3 or 4) have made it illegal to sell, own and distributes such devices in their state but in any other states it is 100% legal as long as they are not used in a commercial vehicle.
