I just bought the nav unit from Vsolkov. Now I am looking at FM modulators. I found one that hooks up to the head unit direct. I dont know if the TL uses the common antennea port thingy. Can anyone help? Does anyone have recommendations for a fm mod. Here is the one I found.

Hard wired is the best if use with fm but dont know if the TL is compatible. Someone shine a light on this for us.. The audiovx unit is pretty good believe it or not. Thanks

 

you might need an antenna adapter. you can also tap the antenna in the driver's side rear pillar in the back.. In order to get behind the radio you need to do a lot of disassembling..

 

How do you "tap" into the antenna? Also, does anyone have a service manual to see if it has an antenna jack in the back of the head unit? I just ordered mine from helmic 6 days ago and no sign of it yet.

 

You should have no problem, if you really wanna get behind that head unit! There is an antenna jack in just about all cars-I do installs. GOOD LUCK

 

hmmmm, just how hard is it to get behind the head unit? I realy want the best audio I can get. I got the nav module, helm manual, and I just ordered this dvd unit. Now I have to got to Circuit city to get the Audiovox modulator. I got the dvd player for 199.00 and it's the same one that AVelectronics sales for 250.00
